This is my rig form the weekends gigs.

I set it up like this to test the DI's at sound check but also left the LMII on top as a back up in case the SA450 went down.
The funny (now) thing is i found myself adjusting the knobs on the LMII quite often, even though i wasn't plugged in to it. Couldn't figure out why i wasn't always getting the change in tone i wanted for a while.
DOH i think is the word to use.

The jury is still out over whether i will keep the UL212. The gigs were on wooden stages and i did struggle to project the lows out front but it is a nice loud cab given the right room.
I am still tempted to get a SD800 for the extra headroom as i ended up running the SA450 on half or just over on the master and i felt i was running out of volume because of the hollow stages.

IMHO, a 410 will solve all your problems. :)

Did an outdoor gig with my markbass traveller 102p, 151hf and lmk2 on Sat. Fairly large stage with the amp set well back on a very wobbly wooden stage. Playing away i realised that i was really loud ( i turned down!) even from that distance with the sound full, clean and clear from deep bass notes on the detuned E right up to my chords and harmonics.

Heres the thing........

When i took it down i realised id not properly plugged in the 151hf, id done the whole gig just on the 102p!?!?!?!?!?!

Unreal!

makes me gutted i carted that Trace rig around so long!

The LMK was only up to about 9 oclock! and that was into 8 ohms

Yeah, me too.
Only thing is i will loose money on the UL212 and after all the trouble i have had it would be a shame.
I am going to give it a few more gigs though as it did the job in the end and i had gigged it a few times before i had to change the drivers over and it worked fine. I just really want to use the UL115 again as i love that sound but logistics say i can only use one or the other as my cab has to stay at my drummers house so i cant really keep changing them over.

Ha! This would have been me too....:rolleyes:
I was never a tens guy until I got the 410UL...
Just to note I did very much like the NV610 I had, just didn't have the right amp at the time.
I think the 210/115UL will be great too. Get a Gramma Pad too or add casters... get it off the box stage unless you like that effect/affect.

Hi, I'm back with some news. Just went to the shop today with my LMII and we made a comparison with the one he had in stock. Not only they sounded exactly the same, but also there was a normal bunch of lows and mids coming out of mine (and this was tested by connecting the DI to the input of an AER Basscube, which is pretty much focused on high-mids and highs).

Now I _may_ be a bit off-topic (and by no means I try to hijack this thread), but I guess I really need to understand something :

- when I connect my bass into the amp, then DIed on the board, I have only treble (while the amp is set flat and the bass tone is quite balanced with normal lows, normal mids and normal highs)

- when I connect the bass into a DI box then to the board (with the same cable, to the same mixing console with the same settings), the full range is heard.

Something's very strange there. BTW, the DI box is either the DI output of my Sennheiser UHF or an external active Samson DI box. Same results in both cases.

Now I know the bass (Tobias Killer B) was very trebly. I sold it today and got an MM SR5. I'll make a test on next gig (Friday) and give some further info. In the meanwhile, any info/suggestion would be welcome.

Once again, if anyone thinks I'm too much off topic, please mod friends feel free to move my post anywhere you want.

Sounds like an impedance mismatch with the board IME.

This is probably best handled by Markbass's tech support customer service, but I downloaded the 01V's manual, and I'm going to try to do a little digging on it tonight... this is just strange...

Ever tried a passive DI box? This would be a very informative test.

Any chance at getting a short mp3 file from the LMII DI and then another one with all else the same, including the same playing, thru the Samson? Just so I can really hear exactly what you're talking about? I think that might be very helpful as well.
