I have #51, which I commissioned a couple years ago. It had fallen to the back of the line for a while in my herd as it can sound a little "ganky". But I played it on a gig a few weeks ago, and it sure felt good, the neck and spacing are just so and it has a really great low B. I am excited to take it out with my F1/AE410 rig to see how it sounds. I think the calrity of the F1 versus the slightly vintage characteristic of the LMII will give me more of the tone I am after with that particular bass.
We shall see...

My Geddy Vee just got it's audere replaced with a new Nordstrand preamp.
The Nord pre-as one might expect-pairs very nicely with Nord pickups. There's a brief review if it in pickups/preamps, but I haven't really had much time with it yet.

There it is again!!! That bass gives me GAS nightmares. I dream that I'm playing that bass and then my wife walks in with divorce papers and a new boyfriend. And it's all because of this bass.
But the Valenti dont lie, cheat or steal bro'!
I loved my #008. Someday again!

Great playing man...I see that you're into Skuli. He's my favorite for sure. I got to hang with him at his place in NYC a couple of months back. He's the best man. What an amazing, amazing musician.

I agree...this one hurts....a lot. I have a Fender J with the black on black look....and this 5 is almost exactly how I'd spec the 5 string version. Incredible.
That bass reminds me of that Metro 4 we were fighting over at LDS a few years ago. Sweet looking bass. Nino is doing some beautiful work.

Hey Nino, quick question on the Nordy P pick-up in there.
Does it have to have the three pole piece coil on the B_E_A and the two pole piece coil on the D_G??
Are they wound for specifically for the strings?
Or can you switch them around for what ever reason??

Dunno about "have to," but my Nord/Valenti PJ has the blank pole in the place, although my pup half placements are reversed relative to the bridge.
Man you are killing me I want that bass sooooooo bad!!!

I owned this bass for awhile.
It is killer.
Only reason I sold it was, I just can't get use to 1 1/2" width at the nut.
I prefer 1 3/4 fat P-style neck.
But Valenti are super fine basses.
