Things You Don't See Anymore Part 3

A picnic at the California Alligator Farm in the 1920s, located in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood of Los Angeles between 1907 and 1953. The farm had 20 ponds for the trained alligators where patrons could mingle freely with them.

It took me this long to find this picture of my old long lost fave Tiger jacket that got 'misplaced' under mysterious circumstances soon before we left Los Angeles for Seattle :sorry:

(If somebody comes across this in a thrift store somewhere there may be a reward offered )

I remember my father getting a bottle of that for Christmas in the late sixties, I don't remember him ever wearing it. He usually wore "Old Spice" and on occasion "English Leather". I feel confident that I would recognize either if I came across it to this day. I seem to remember that a bottle of English Leather came in a small wooden case. (I found a photo of the English Leather box.)

My mother wore "Chanel #5", and again, I'm sure that I would recognize it.

Man, that brings back memories! As a kid, I grew up listening to one of these:

It sat on the shelf in my bedroom, and my brother and I used to listen to ballgames and "Radio Mystery Theater" on it. Seeing the picture you posted was like smelling chlorine and immediately being transported to the swimming pool where I learned to swim as a kid. :)

I know how that is, and I'm happy that I could help.
