I know. I have another bass with a roasted maple neck—actually my SBMM Ray34—and I love how that one feels.

In my opinion with the body you have, that roast look sick!!

Thomann have some stock now. As for the UK - Anderton's stock has (according to them) arrived in the UK and is currently negotiating its way though customs. We've got an ETA of 12th Sept, but hopefully HMRC will pull their finger out and we'll get them a bit sooner than that.

Mine has shipped, and Sweetwater did their usual picture thing. The first pic I saw in the email was small and I thought the headstock was painted:

But it's not painted, it's just the roasted maple neck is a really dark roast (espresso?), which I absolutely love:

Same! I'm pretty excited about the Rose Gold look. I've been wanting a pink bass for a good while. This is my first time purchasing an instrument on Sweetwater, so I didn't know they did this.

I know we're still in the early days here but figured I'd throw this question out there - I've been considering selling a few less used basses (Fender J, Sire 5, maybe some pedals) and adding an Amethyst Sparkle Stingray to my collection of brushes. Are these Sire versions worth considering to save some loot or would I be better off going for the real deal?

Since they announced the Z3/Z7 lineup that color Z7 has been calling me. I *really* wish it was available on the Z3 . . . and while I'm wishing I also wish the Z3 had the matching headstock.

I wish the burgundy was actually burgundy, not the shade of pink they ended up choosing. Burgundy is an awesome color, and so is "burgundy mist," but that's definitely not what I would've named it. My wife suggested that it should be called lilac, and I think that fits way better.

Yeah, that's what I'm struggling with. It doesn't look like any other burgundy mist.

This thing is SWEET.
Feels great. Sounds great. Setup is fantastic.
You guys can discuss the minute details when you get yours.

Alright, your post got me - just ordered a burgandy Z7 four string. The fives are backordered and maybe I need to start accepting that not everything needs a low B... sometimes four strings is the right sound.

I'm not crazy about the branding on the pickup covers but I bet 99% of non-bassists would ever notice.

Embrace the pastel side of life. That green looks pretty sick too, if it was a sparkle finish I'd probably pick it up.
