This is interesting... Sire MM Bass???

Can anyone confirm if the Z3 and Z7 have an active/passive toggle? It seems like there was a lot of confusion about that in the early demo videos.

My Z3 showed up Friday morning, and I’ve already put about 10 hours on it of on-stage play time. I am loving this bass! This is my first MM-style bass, so I am still figuring out how the tones all work. The sound is super consistent across the neck, which I really love. Sound engineers have been loving it too.

At 9.5lbs, it’s about the same weight as most of my basses, but it’s super comfortable. Really easy to play.

I grabbed a quick iPhone video, which mostly sounds like overdriven mic! Haha

What is the difference between the tone and treble knob?
From what I understand the tone knob functions like a typical passive tone knob that rolls off highs. It's my understanding that it will work when the preamp is on or off, so supposedly you can set your active EQ and use the tone knob to tame highs (I guess). More likely people will use the tone knob when they've got the bass in passive.

Thanks for sharing. I’m happy to see these basses making it out to the public.
