and to you Andy!!Happy Father's Day everyone!!
You know it.I have been having a lot of fun making git-box noise through a variety of completely underpowered tube combos. 5 watts is plenty for guitar. Not so much for bass. Some of them have swapped out preamp tubes for even less power.
The sound of Armageddon without hearing loss is lots of fun.
Likewise.I'll look forward to meeting you in person!
U2!Happy Father's Day everyone!!
eventually I'll visit Seattle ...

$1,000 in gas later...It can be a beautiful city, come for a visit, it's worth it. Ride up 101 with Chucky in that AMX.
Any of the NorCal crew know the Durango Dogs? Lost their bassist.
What, no here doggy, doggy retort?Lost? ...wandered off you say?
Yup featureless. Recall that Wanda took pictures of grain elevators because there was nothing else to take pictures of...
The moon has a more interesting landscape than Saskatchewan. When you dog runs away you can still see him going for two days. Mathematically, a pancake has more features than Saskatchewan.
A Devo related question:
Can you still play Mongoloid? I mean, I can play it; I learned it and can execute the song. But is it like Brown Sugar? Just PCed out of existence?
Cranking the pickups high and using EBCFs, I get (just) enough low end. The CP has that in spades regardless of strings, but the VP has some extra magic. Using just the neck pickup, I can get a ridiculously groovy range of tones.
Blood Sausage would also work for cuisine based bands.
I like it. It has "ahem" all over it.
My brother and I are still labouring under the placeholder Taylor Swift Kick in the Nuts.
Exactly what I was going to say, but Chuck beat me to it.....need to rebias and provision has been made for the suppressor grid on the 34 which is internally grounded in the 6L6 as it was developed for low frequency (audio) applications….the 34 on the other hand has this grid floating as it could be used as a modulator tube for AM transmitters….not every 6L6 amp (mostly older models) account for this and leave that terminal floating…iow, the 34 is a true pentode where the american designs 6V6s, 6L6s, 6550s and so on are (beam powered) tetrodes…

Not that recall. I've played what were most likely from the Backline series in stores, but nothing in a live setting. I always liked the looks of the G-K heads. The few times I tried one was with store basses and there was a mid thing I didn't care for and the tone lacked some bigness. However, I blame me just plugging in not fooling with the EQ much at all. They seem very versatile and I'm sure what I was hearing could be addressed with a little time spent with the EQ. I really liked the looks (shallow), of the 400RB, I think it was.Ever play a Gallien-Krueger 800RB?

I've not had that problem either....is this something that's just started, or have you always had this problem?
What sort of tone is it you're getting, like a hum/buzz, or you can still hear actual string vibrations, like the vol(s) isn't shutting off all the way?
As @GBassNorth mentioned, if you could post a pic of your wiring, we should be able to at least help you narrow down where the problem might be![]()
But really, count your blessings. Nobody wants to see me with my shirt off diving into Chucky's pool.
You can wear a T-shirt you know. Problem solved. But really, count your blessings. Nobody wants to see me with my shirt off diving into Chucky's pool.
Or something like this:You can wear a T-shirt you know. Problem solved.
Thank you. I wish I would have taken a pic of the cavity before I dropped it off at guitar urgent care! I will get the low-down on what it was and post.
When both volume pots are turned down to 0 I still had a very faint sound. A normal bass sound - nothing distorted, humming or buzzing. I bet it’s always been that way and just never noticed it before.
