It's clearly challenging. Miss one afternoon and somehow you're two days behind. Some kind of Quantum Mechanics or something.
 
OK, this is nuts. When I got the 67, it was in tune so I made some little marks on the tuners(and the bridge). That way, when I put on new strings, and after I take up the 'slack', I just line up those marks and it's perfectly in tune/intonated.
Now to post the easy way after I've been doing it the complicated way with the tuner all these years. Better late than never. Any other helpful bass tips you're holding back?
