Harder for older eyes-like mine-to see white numbers against gold.

As for the numbers, the gold is more difficult to see, but I almost always set everything on 10 and if I roll the bridge back, I do it till it sounds right. Mostly. Or it's off.

Probably sounded awful and you were clearly fighting significant neck dive.
