Thunderbird Club

Funny thing: I 'fell' for the P1800 b4 I ever heard of "The Saint". One's on my "If I hit the &^%$#@! lotto" bucket list.
Other funny thing: my background is mostly Irish. I love stouts(and porters)-except Guinness.

These aren’t bad either

I could get behind the Cult of Guinness!

I can’t wait to taste it in Ireland. 2023 is the aim.

Hey there! They weren’t a bad little jigger in their day. Look this one even has a vinyl roof!

Pretty sure all the Aussie Escort Ghia’s came with the 2.0 litre 4
You will love Ireland Geoff! Dublin is a fun city. Get your official Guiness draw master certificate at the touristy Guiness House. Yep, admission includes a pint. Travel to Middleton for a tour of the Jameson distillery. And yep, admission includes a drink. Enjoy the music in the pubs. Pay homage to Phil Lynott. Can I come with?

That's cool! I guess people come and put picks in the strings as tribute?

Cute murder mittens hogging camera, lol. Male or female? And about beer? I wouldn't know since I don't like it. Prefer Vodka or Wine.

He's not just a camera hog, he's a total attention hog, very clingy, pretty much the exact opposite of the other one - she's just there to hang out, eat, & sleep

I like this cult…

I don't mind this Cult, but i don't think I can join it.....

You must be my long lost sister.

It seems I've got enough Irish blood to have the genetic predisposition to think Guinness is pretty awesome

A religious experience.

Same thing.......

:bag:

Gotta love a clingy cat that just wants to be near you all the time! Yours looks like a sweetheart. I had a couple cats like that when I was younger and living with my parents. A Tabby, a seal point and a manx (all at different times). Anytime I sat down on the couch to watch TV that tabby (named hunter) would curl up in my lap for hours. My Manx (Sammy) had similar markings to your other cat, because it didn’t have a tail people always mistook it for a small bobcat. The seal point (named Clarence because he was cross eyed) was very aloof with everyone else in the house but always stuck close to me.

I hadn’t heard that band before. An interesting mix of swiliring trippy acid rock and Jimmi Hendrix shredding. I could listen to a bit of that, maybe not an entire album in one sitting, but certainly a few songs.

All music to my ears G -
I suspect you’re in a frustrating spot right now with all the hand and carpal issues. Nothing more depressing for a creative artsy and active person that likes to make and do things with their hands than to be saddled with pain discomfort and lack of dexterity. I have fingers crossed that you have a very speedy recovery and are back in full swing soon.

You summed it it precisely Geoff. I was talking with Bond Girl Cherie last night after our rehearsal that if I didn't stay focused on our show - I'd be going crazy. I've always known how important ones hands are, but this situation has put a fine point on that. Trusting that it will eventually be history also helps - light at the end of the tunnel etc. Thanks for your concern, support and understanding - it really means a lot.

Yeah, he's great

When he's not weird and/or annoying cat weirdness :meh:

They both got abandoned & left to fend for themselves, and nearly starved.
He still gets wound up sometimes when I'm leaving for work, like he thinks I'm not gonna come back :(

Never heard The Cult before? :wideyed:

I agree though, I just listen to songs here & there, mostly their stuff from the 80s. Gotta kinda be in the mood for their vibe, I guess?

This is a more well-known song of theirs......

:)

It's a pretty nice old bass, was playing it last week, I'm attempting to master "Living in the Past" by Jethro Tull and besides the '64 that bass has next best playing neck for me - As you said, "there's just something about a Gibson".

One of my favorite bass lines to listen to and play. Glenn Cornick was so vastly under appreciated. Besides the excellent lines in Tull songs like "To Cry You a Song", "Teacher", "Inside", "Nothing is Easy", I also really like his work with Wild Turkey and Paris (plus, who doesn't love some Bob Welch).

I had the release surgery a few months ago.

Ring finger on the right hand would lock in a closed position if I made a fist, very painful to pop it back into position. Went the Cortisone route at first and it worked fine at reducing the inflammation enough to allow the finger to move freely. Then I accidentally hit the finger on something and it started locking up again. Got another shot and all was fine for another six months but eventually started locking up again. Went back for a third shot and the doc said nope. Apparently the cortisone shots weaken the tendons, one maybe two are ok but if that doesn’t solve the issue (and doc said the shot is only about 25% successful) then it’s on to the release surgery.

If I were to do it all over again, I would have still gone with the first shot but then moved on to the surgery if it wasn’t successful. The surgery was a cake walk, and done in the docs office with local anesthesia. Recovery was relatively quick and I’m at about 95% now.
Glad you're on the mend!
