Thunderbird Club

I once had a conversation in MySpace (remember those pages?) with the drummer Phil Gould. He was as big fan of Doug Rauch as I am. Mark King was/is too, actually. He started as a drummer, BTW.
yeah, jammed with Boon once at a party… my dear friend Richard is the son of a past MP of the Isle of Wight, where they are from….

Just had to.

Looks like our one and only resident alien - @JJR58
It’s a fantastic time capsule photo! I haven’t seen platforms since about the 1975 - 1977 era (yes I had em too, not thigh highs though). The date kinda looks like the waning days of disco and the dawn of Glam Rock, so I’m gonna guess 1977/78. If it’s ‘78 it’s probably about the year he graduated from high school, so it might not even be him. The band Boston would have been huge about that time and Star Wars would have been in the theaters. The gas shortage was looming just around the corner and Jimmy Carter wasn’t picking peanuts anymore.

All that’s just speculation, Would love to hear a first hand account of the photo and songs played from JJR.

Phenomenal bassist in my ears...Great drummer, as well...saw some YouTube vids of him drumming...he's often said hi bass playing is nothing more than percussive.

I see our queen is posting model train pictures again so I'll fly my dork flag as well.
Lately I've been building balsa stick and tissue rubber powered free flight though I have a pretty heavy styrene addiction. Heres what's on the bench a Fokker DVIII and other projects in the wings, also some of my builds. The Monogram Hawker Typhoon (bottom pic.) is my oldest survivor I was maybe 13 when I built it.

View attachment 4894800 A second NAD/NRD! Rumble 100 showed up at the house today! I toyed with the idea of just getting a 200, but if I can ride 100 miles at a shot on my bicycle, I can jolly well carry 2 amps. Plus, it’s GP-approved! Gotta say, the 2 12s sound awesome (especially with Thunderbirds 8^). And it’s plenty loud for my current purposes.
Nice!

I have to say once I played with more than one cab (or cab with multiple drivers I never went back unless I had to. There's just something that multiple speakers brings to the party that one lacks.

The rumor that I sleep with it is an exaggeration. It’s a wonderful bass.
But have you ever, is the question. You attorney's are crafty. Your carefully worded answer only addressed the present or near present and avoids any such events that may or may not have happened in the past.
