I'm all about stupid low action.
I'm not that heavy handed player i used to be.
Besides, i like letting the amp to do the work.
For me, i find it much more tonally pleasing that way.

I get that, but there is something to be said for the funky growl you can get when digging in.

Both the red and blue look great to me. I may need to pull the trigger on a blue one.

I think what makes a Fenderbird look odd is the maple headstock. I think it's the light wood and not the shape that throws me--and is why George's doesn't look off in any way.

I agree and prefer a black (or matching) headstock.

I really like the T-Bird headstock because it's ornate as well as just looks cool.
I saw this '30's Martin headstock and was blown away how much it looks like a Fender.

BTW...that's 1830. Now Martin's have one of the simplest flat-top, headstock designs.

I think they make a pill for that!

Huge difference in the detail of the picture. I can see every Phillips head screw on the bridge is perfectly in alignment, on the 12mp pic I can’t even tell what type of screws are in the bridge.

I still dig a lot of those 60s Wild Things! They make my heart sing!

Burns (Inc) has gone through many hands since the early '60s - there are later RI's of many of their guitars & basses but the originals like my '63 Vista Sonic are unique inside & out. Mine was a 'project' bass so I got it for a reasonable cost. They aren't going for as much as a same vintage Fender bass, but they are rare and go for a 'healthy' asking price. They are very loved in the UK and there is a Burns fb page that is pretty active. I'm not on fb anymore so I can only look.
