I have been neglecting my beloved '91 Bird, and I have not posted any pics in a while. I am usually playing whatever basses I am reviewing at the time, but sometimes, you just gotta bring an old friend! I have way more gigs on this bass than any other, and it always puts a smile on my face.

Respect! :roflmao: My wife does that too with new clothes, God knows why, she knows I don't mind, like she feels guilty or something. She let's me buy whatever I want as long as we have the money

Indeed. Like I said, I already prefer the Epis to the Gibsons I've tried. This pushes Epiphone way over the top.

Eh, this is a common thing on TB that really skeazes me out. I don't think it's cool to lie to one's spouse about major purchases.

They already make a really good T-bird. Better, IMO, than the Gibson one.

Like I've said before, I love those pickup positions. Could probably do a decent approximation of a Rickenbacker with them.

1. How did you get them close to the strings?
2. How did you hide the fact that they're only about 1/2 the depth of the TB-Plusses?

Foam and the spacers/rings that Thunderbucker Ranch sells. Not sure if my tech did anything else. Probably used some extra foam that he had on hand.

I think the bone of contention for my wife is more, "We don't have any more room to put another bass!" Ah but where there's a will, there's a way! ;)
