I used the same product on our redwood fence and, surprisingly, it hasn’t faded in 10 years.
That was a staple. Did anyone other than you guys even notice?Years ago I used to play with a drummer who could not get that weird break in Born to Be Wild, the harder he tried the worse he got.
I just think they need to be more prominent. It’s a great song!
I do both. Without counting, some songs are impossible for me on any instrument.
That is exactly it.I mean, I may count in my head first learning a song, but once it gets ingrained I just hear where I'm supposed to come in, or where 1 is at.

We stressed over the break in No Matter What. At the end of the day, it never mattered.
Here's the fourth of the recently recorded The Sean Conneries songs by our Paul. It needed some fine-tuning tweaks... sorted.
This may have been asked before and the answer may be obvious, but is there a way to purchase your tracks so I can stick them in my iTunes library? The place I listen to music the most is my work truck, since a good portion of my day is spent drive to, between, and back from jobs. Currently I have and old iPod touch that connects to my 12 year old Alpine, and all my music is there, and easy to control from the face of it. So I just sync the old iTouch whenever I add music to my library and it’s in my truck…
More than what we get except for one place.Did someone say ridiculously small "stage"? (bass-player on the narrow floor adjacent to the bar...)

Short answer, No. At that restaurant, we-and all our stuff-were in a roughly 15 foot wide area that was no more than 4 feet deep. I was using a Bassman 25 and the backs of my legs were touching the amp. I don't remember what PA we were using, but it was aimed down the length of the seating area toward the entryway. All walls were were glass which reflected the sound. It’s not like you use exotic gear or anything. Can you move the Bose PA further away from where you’re playing? I don’t recall what you put through it, but if the Bose is further out where from where the owner is, maybe you can find a happy place?

Some of the places we played pre-COVID have not put live music back in or gone to one night a week. And the age group that we play to doesn't go out as much. At least the survivors. All musicians should do a solid 1 week strike - no live music anywhere for one week. When we played as one of the first indoor bands at the tail-end of High-Covid - we were tipped a lot! People finally got how important live music was after being cut off for all those months. It didn't last long - now they are back to thinking live music is free and will just happen regardless of their support.

I used to hear that a lot running sound, whether at gigs or church. I’d tell everyone the same thing, to pick their seat based on the volume. Most people refused to listen. I don’t miss that.Yes. We had regulars who would come to the place whenever we were booked. One other problem there: the owner liked to sit at the closest seat to the band then bit.., er, complain we were too loud while people in the middle and rear of the room were complaining they couldn't hear us.
Had a similar situation Friday night. People at the first table saying "turn down"; people at the bar ~30 feet away saying they couldn't hear us.
Y’all got me close to doing a whole bass in tort.If it’s outdoor it better be poly, the thicker the better. And don’t forget, all the hardware should be nickel and any plastic work better not be tort!
