The Artec mudbuckers are sidewinders and they have wider string spacing than the original mudbuckers.
I have one I keep meaning to try in something.
I put one in my "hippie " Precision build. I really love the sound, they hit the nail on the head and the pole piece spacing is spot on for Fender. If you're inclined go to my Facebook page and scroll down there are some recent gig videos of the bass. Search Scott Dasson, there's only one ;)

Had a brainwave for a new Brooks hybrid bass.
I have no idea if this has been done before, but it seems to make perfect sense to me

I had a JagBird in the planning stages for a while but gave up because I couldn’t source a full jag wiring harness without actually buying a used Jag. Wasn’t able to find a wiring schematic either with adequate info to build my own, so I gave up.
Ended up going the Telecaster route instead - current build called ThunderCaster. Should be ready to go to the finisher next week.

If you find a source for a Jag bass wiring harness with all the switches and plates and pots and knobs let me know.
