She needs a good cleaning, but other than that seems to be in good health with a nice deep set of pipes as well.

And interestingly enough, lookie what’s under the cover of those crusty LP “Guitar” pickups on the Limited Edition Eppi bird…

Them be twin blade (not six pole) humbuckers. That begs the question, which Gibson (or Epiphone) guitar pickups have blades vs poles? And are these the same pickups just in an LP housing?

Yeah. Looked at prices and thought "as good as it sounds, it ain't gonna improve my sound enuff to spend that kind of cash".
I'd love to find one to profile with my Kemper.

Matter of fact... Just found out my local GC has a Fender Adam Clayton tube amp in stock. Might have to buy it to check it out and profile then return.

OK...I modified it! Ha
The Spitfire "helped" save Britain with its Rolls Royce Merlin 1800 HP V12 engine and those huge wings for superb lift and agility along with their new fangled radar.
Don't forget the Hawker Hurricane!

The blades would be handy if the intention was to use in both 6 and 4 string instruments

I'm a big aviation nut, most of my reading consists of aviation history and first hand accounts, biographies etc. of pilots.
As a kid before I discovered bass all I did was read about airplanes and build models, both still take up a large chunk of my free time.

I remember having a liking for the Hurricane from reading books as a schoolboy - stuff like Reach for the Sky (the Douglas Bader story), the Dambusters - that sort of stuff.
Reach For The Sky has been in my reading pile since I was 11!

Very cool! I have some P-38s around. Among other things I collect "trench art " airplanes. Here's a cast metal P-38 from my collection.

From my 4+mile hike today - a fair bit in on trails still covered in snow and ice. House back up to the trail or front a street next to the trail in places. Now we know where Chuck’s Alaska home is.

That looks like me when I slipped on a slime covered boat ramp. :)
