I got into the brains of a fuel injected motorcycle and got a few more horsepower out of it. It wasn't worth the effort for the marginal increase, but it sure was fun for a while. I never ran race fuel or anything more potent. Running high octane oxygenated fuel makes a difference, especially with an injected motor full of sensors.
…no need to cry, it's an easy fix, just pull out the neck stump with water and vapour injections and fix an epi bolt on neck.…

yeah, I try to make sure he knows how we got here and have him work on older stuff….was very pleasantly surprised when he replaced (and tuned) the stock Strombergs with Webers in my Triumph….glad to see that at 20, he enjoys old school "wrenching" as well…
YouTube can be a god send sometimes, I know I've used it a bunch when trying to figure stuff out even on older stuff.

1/4 inch TS Neutrik connectors at Sweetwater go anywhere from 1.60 to 9.99 (unless you get that fancy non-pop disconnect model which goes for around 20), and, surprise, surprise, it is the true gold plated models that are going for 9.99 (18 AWG max conductor size). So I surmise there must be another reason Hosa wants 60 dollars for their Edge series 15 foot cable (67 for the 20 footer) which all have the gold contact Neutrik connectors-
Not to be disrespectful but maybe they're on crack for wanting approx. 52 USD for the EDGE series 18 inch (20 AWG) patch cable?
I'm not an engineer or an accountant , but all things being the same (gold plated contract connectors and 20 AWG copper conductor - oxygen free, no less!), the one cable at 20 feet- over ten times longer - sells for $ 66.95, while the patch cable goes for 51.95? A second right angle connector shouldn't add that much!
This gives me funny feelings in funny places

The boy never caught the gasoline bug. It will save him a lot of money. Good thing, because he's making a living as a musician. His wife, on the other hand, shows promise as a person with a heavy foot and an affinity for noise, vibration, and harshness. The motorhead lineage will survive through her.
To my limited pea-sized brain for knowledge, the Surfers were the first ones to go full house in 1966. They ran the fuel pressure at 3x what was normal for the time and added/changed the spray pattern to accommodate

If you listen to Steve Millers 1968 release "Living in the USA" there's audio clip from that era dubbed onto the tail end of the song. That recording came from an LP titled "Big Sounds from the Drags". I think the drag recording was circa '61 or '62
Hard disagree on that. Last cable I bought was a Digiflex 25' (I needed more slack for shows where the amp is pretty far back from where I'm standing on stage) straight to right angle (Neutrik connectors) for $31.24 shipped from Canada, last Oct.
