You will like them.I raised the pickups and put on a set of new Power Steels. I had to add some foam to the pickup cavities to get the pickups to feel solid. Liking the changes so far. Looking forward to seeing how the strings settle in.

I think this is only the second or third time Prakash has come up in the almost ten years I’ve been around here. We need to change that. Amazing versatile player.Saw Alice live at a Welcome To My Nightmare tour in NYC.
Madison Square Garden.
Aynsley Dunbar, Steve Hunter, Dick Wagner, Prakash John.
I’ll just leave it at that.
EDIT: Pentti Glan on drums.
This was exactly Lou Reeds band from Rock-n-Roll Animal, at The Palladium.
Which I also attended.

Whenever something like that happens with our group, someone'll say "Understanding Electronics 101".Bond Girl gig report from last night : The Makeout Room (Mission SF) is a biggish club with high ceilings with lots of shiny hanging things and kinetic lighting. Stage is two-tiered with classic red velvet curtains. Sound... well, the sound was ok but I didn't notice it until listening to the other band but the space has a really loud air fan?/system that made hearing music played quietly difficult. It's an old joint and it could definitely use an upgrade for that unit - only relatively loud music would sound ok. As Cherie puts it "we are a James Bond rock band" and we play relatively loud, but always making sure her vocals are heard above everything else. My amp was on the top tier with drums and I was on the lower tier so I could hear my bass loud & clear - it sounded really good actually. Overall we sounded ok, but not great due to the room (with that loud fan) and a a sub-standard FOH. I had a hard time hearing Paul (guitar) on the other side of the stage. Really dark also so navigating the two-tiered stage setting up with cords everywhere was precarious. Unexplainably, my B9 set-up wasn't working. I attempted trouble-shooting but due to time and difficulty in seeing in the dark, I just used my POG pedal instead. I only use the B9 on two songs and only one of them was on our setlist. These things happen at gigs. You come prepared and have set-up countless times with no issues, and one tiny thing/detail derails success. It was fairly minor - and for sure no-one knew the wiser. Today I went through everything and it all worked perfectly.

I guess 'cos I've been playing mine since 73, I never noticed. And that was coming from a Gibson EB-3(SS).When seated, yes, about the same.
Standing, no. The NR is more of a reach by a good bit. (And I'm 6' and have some reach.)

JJ that is my favorite Bird! So Nice!
Baked are cake-like. If possible/rational, I would eat donuts at least once a day. That's one of the handful of things I could binge eat to the point of being sick.
What 9v battery is everyone using for their active basses?

happens" ... Duracell typically since I can usually get good deals on them at Costco.
Wow - that must have been a trip! I only have seen his concert vids but I would guess the very early and later shows would be what I would have liked to see/hear/attend. His over-the-top extragaganza shows were part of what I didn't like about '70s 'arena rock'. His '90s and later down-to-earth work w/this band including Gail Anne Dorsey on bass is overlooked and some of my favorite Bowie.
