They recently updated their lineup. Still only 2.67 minimum load capable though. My friend Chris Kuffner, a touring pro uses Aguilar amps & pu's/electronics. Yah, I'm sure they are very nice but they are pricey.

Scooby Doo Mystery Machine
(Aussie GMH assembled) Bedford CFS van with Holden engine. From the movie filmed on the Gold Coast Qld.
I have absolutely no idea what's going on.
I will try to remember after work, if no one has provided the answer. I'm guessing it's the same as the Gibson Reverse--which means it is definitely closer to the neck than the originals. Which has driven me crazy(er).
You are not alone!I have absolutely no idea what's going on.
Ok, I’m ready for fall and winter now.

It looks like an Epiphone Pro4. I suggest you play it a while a decide for yourself if you should do any upgrades.View attachment 5484985 View attachment 5484986 View attachment 5484987View attachment 5484985 View attachment 5484986 View attachment 5484987 View attachment 5484988 View attachment 5484989 View attachment 5484990 View attachment 5484991 View attachment 5484992 View attachment 5484993
What have I got myself here. I'm in China and I got it second hand. Obviously with the amount of small guitar factories here is easy for it to be a copy but it probably isn't. It's got a metal nut which seems like something that would be skimped out on if it were a copy.
I don't love the sound by itself but it sits in a reburied recorded mix quite well.
What is it and are there any basic upgrades I should do? Pickups and pre?
Glorious days here in Seattle, you're about a month out!
I'm trying to find some additional storage for the (too many) electric trains in your room!
Meantime, downstairs.........

I need to get me some of that. All rattle can. From ReRanch. The clear coat is McFaddens.
As a person who has had a van for decades now, I have heard about that a bit. But the sign on my van says "free champagne." I go for a different demographic. It really works, too.
It's a Willy/Willie thing. You wouldn't understand.Somehow I knew Willy had one of those vans.
I have one of those. I wasn't thrilled by the sound or the frets. It's now fretless, passive, and has Lace Alumitone pickups. It goes off to be refinished this weekend, since mine is a gloomier looking burst than yours.View attachment 5484985 View attachment 5484986 View attachment 5484987View attachment 5484985 View attachment 5484986 View attachment 5484987 View attachment 5484988 View attachment 5484989 View attachment 5484990 View attachment 5484991 View attachment 5484992 View attachment 5484993

I'm more of a post thinking modern myself.
And don't forget to ALWAYS remove the instrument cable from the Pro IV when done playing. If you don't, it will drain the battery.I have one of those. I wasn't thrilled by the sound or the frets. They are very much Thunderbirds, although they have their own thing going with the active circuit. You can upgrade the preamp, replace the pickups, or do any number of things to them. I found the sound a bit too scooped to sit well in a mix, but then I didn't work with it too long before yanking the frets and yanking the electronics. I also found that when the battery dies, mine didn't revert to being passive, but instead just flat went silent.
It's a perfectly legit Epiphone, not a rip-off, and there's plenty you can do with it if you don't like how it is in its original form.
I have three Gibson Thunderbirds and they are the same size as a Pro IV. The neck feels the same. Once you move the strap button to the heel of the neck, the balance is the same. No dive at all.

Maybe the age is why I never liked them. To me, the chocolate didn't taste like chocolate and the tan matter inside in no way tasted like peanut butter. I'll take a Snickers now, please.
You know i'm good with the trains.![]()
