Found a little orchestra playing as well as a large number of people wandering around in 18th or 19th Century garb.
The orchestra was fun, they played an elephant walk kinda thing and the two tuba players at the back were stomping along (on the spot) while they were playing. Good fun.

So it looks like Bad Lemon and TSC will be sharing the day of music at Winters' Tavern on Fog Fest Sunday, Sept 29th. I'm managing the day of 8 bands starting at noon on the outside stage and on-the-hr inside and outside. TSC will play the outside stage at 4pm. Weather is predicted to be in the '70s. Pacific Coast Fog Fest - Fog Fest Fog Fest is a very big deal in Pacifica starting with a parade Sat morning, multiple stages on the main street (Palmetto), art, food, clothing, jewelry, cars etc. My Pacifica artist/musician friend Aaron did the cool poster artwork - he and his wife are both leaders of cool original music bands. FF attracts hundreds of people over the weekend and Winters' being a block from the festival street is a major part of it.

Exactly - for the most part, the tavern lot will be primarily reserved for the bands and strictly monitored. The best (closest) place to park will be on the east side of HW1 in the neighborhoods. Coming from the north on HW1 - get off at the Manor exit (at the bottom of the chicane) and cross over HW1 to Oceana and head south. There's a walking bridge from east to west and not far from all FF activities. Be prepared for experiencing lots of car congestion - it's just part of the deal.

Over the years I've done morning bike rides returning to Pacific during Fog Fest. I ended up walking a few blocks w/the bike as it's a mob scene. Maybe on of those little bikes and definitely not motorized. Check out this crazy bike that CJ has hanging at Winters' -

CJ being an overgrown skate-boarder was able to ride it - I passed as I could see it coming to no good...

That's what I also was referring to.

Last bears I saw were as a kid vacationing in places like Yellowstone, the Badlands, Mt Rushmore & Devils Tower. My dad rented a pop-up tent-trailer and we'd camp at campsites. Bears were everywhere and you had to keep food guarded. Luckily never tangled with them but garbage cans were always overturned during the night.

Anymore most campsites have bear proof food lockers. When backpacking, we’re required to use bear resistant canisters most places.

So it would deliver a slight shock? As long as it doesn't hurt the animal. If being attacked yes, do whatever to defend yourself - I just think harming any animal in any way that could be avoided is optimal. Needless to say, bears lived there before humans...
