@TBird1958 the ohsc on the 64 leaves a lot to be desired as does the one for the late 60's which I solve by using the 2013 NR case where the fit is perfect...

what year is the case of yours? I want to get one but wanted to make sure the fit is snug...
Why the towel?Mine is just a recent Gibson, notable from older in that it is all black outside and white plush inside, no cover blanket and a large "Made in Canada" sticker
on it. The seller provided it and I am very glad he did, the original cases for "63-"65 are garbage and are thought to have contributed to head stock breaks.
Really any post '89 case will work though, there are lots of the older brown cases that have hot pink plush plus the cover blanket and I've used a Nikki Sixx Blackbird case as well, black plush and Thunderbird/Iron cross on the blanket. The one thing I would strongly suggest if the bass is going to travel a bit is to fold a clean dish towel into 3 lengthways ( leave it long) and lay it across the lower bout.
Ah. The Epi and Gator cases with reverses don’t do that.It helps to gently hold the bass into the form fit when the case lid is closed - They can move around if you don't do this.
Pretty FB.Fingerboard levelled and new frets installed:

I don’t know Rich. I use the Babicz on the ‘13 NR and one came stock on the ‘15. I got them low how I like it. And love the bridges. My other Gibsons have the stock three points. Those are pretty much on the deck with the middle bolt about a half turn up.Not using the spacer. And had the same issue with a 105 round set (currently a 105 EBCF). I could try a 100 round but I never go that light with rounds, as I’d think they’d be to floppy and even allow more buzz?

It took a bit of sorting out (the pickups are pretty hot and were set too high for my tastes). Plays quite nice now. Coincidentally, the neck pickup is within a quarter inch of the location I used for the BlingBird neck pup, it’s actually a very useful location. The Lull Petersson bridge pickup location is quite a bit closer to the neck than the center pickup on the BlingBird, actually not far from the current neck location on a new NR. I’m thinking this bass would benefit greatly from a discrete volume/tone stack for each pickup, I’ll give it a couple of months playing time and a couple of string changes to see if it really warrants a rewire job.Wow! Looks even better than I thought. Very impressive! Congrats!
Actually, would be way cool to go down the surfboard builder route for a bass body (assuming it’s structurally sound enough). Can I join the club?View attachment 7073286
Beautiful bird! Would be interested in knowing what the control layout is and hearing more about the pickup selections.Woah woah woah lol it’s just a mock up I’ll have it completed soon maybe this winter.. it will be a one piece mahogany body at some point View attachment 7073288

That must sound fantastic. I really like the sound of pickups closer to the neck like that. It is probably from having played an EB-2 forever.BTW - the UPS guy just dropped off a care package…

…a beautifully custom built 2009 Tom Petersson Tbird finished in Mary Kaye White over Swamp Ash with a very unique pickup placement dictated by Tom. Sounds wonderful, plays very nicely and is well under 8 pounds. Still getting it all lined out but so far looks like a keeper.
It’s a tone tone master volume and the switches are neck dual/single coil selector then a pickup combo selector and a bridge dual/single selectorIt took a bit of sorting out (the pickups are pretty hot and were set too high for my tastes).
