Nah. This one is pretty much perfect. I have an ‘88 4003s, a Fender Kingman and am finishing up P bass with a jazz neck. It’s way more than I need and I may try to get down to having fewer over the next year. Sold a bunch of stuff this year and trying to keep the amount of stuff small/smaller. Having to help elderly parents and in-laws downsize due to death/changing lifestyles will do that to you!And right there is the problem. Birds need flocks to be healthy.![]()
We have four of them. They ain’t cheep. That guy has them custom made in Japan. I accidentally forgot right after they were installed and stepped on one wearing socks. They work.
Same here. I'm too busy with the band to have to or want to deal with multiple basses. The RNR is a good backup in case the Reverse is getting worked on or whatever.Nah. The covering has a different texture and seems more rugged.Aren't they just a different color?
Some people use nail boards. The electric mats are a more humane deterrent and doesn’t injure them.I confess, I enjoyed that and watched twice. I don't like to see animals hurt so maybe I was envisioning lawn and alarm sales people who can't read the "no solicitation" sign or keep pushing when you tell them you are good and have it covered.
Yeah, that was likely it.
That damage has devalued the bass and its overpriced by more than $700 IMO.I saw cracking and pulling away of the finish on the back of the neck. I suspect Gibson would want $700 or more to fix it (most likely more).
It's good to see some honest play wear! When you only have one Thunderbird and it gets the majority of your playing time over 8-ish years, it gets dirty…..![]()
That looks good to me. You might want to check the depth of the routes. If you're putting in Epiphone IV type pickups, they are quite tall.Im liking what this is saying about my neck angle and anticipated bridge height...

With the bridge sitting on the deck and the scale on the D saddle... the scale is flat on the fingerboard.
Yay?
I enjoy working on instruments as much as playing them.Same here. I'm too busy with the band to have to or want to deal with multiple basses. The RNR is a good backup in case the Reverse is getting worked on or whatever.
Like the Brady Bunch with their bikes. I'd be into that, but NYC apartments aren't terribly conducive to that.I enjoy working on instruments as much as playing them.

DittoMy 50th Anniversary came with a black case with white lining, not the brown case with pink lining. Like the case in this listing.
As far as I can tell. my clear coat is still fully intact without issues.
Completely understand. I have way more basses than I need. But will be selling a G&L L2k Redburst before too long. I've got the perfect G&L in the '81 L1k so the Redburst will be moved along.Nah. If that finish crack was anywhere else except the neck it wouldn’t be a big deal, you could chalk it up as mojo, but where it’s at and how bad it is completely impacts the playability of the bird.I saw cracking and pulling away of the finish on the back of the neck. I suspect Gibson would want $700 or more to fix it (most likely more).
Now that’s honest player mojo! Love those trans finishes.Quick photo study:

Don't happen to have a Ring video or that do you?We have four of them. They ain’t cheep. That guy has them custom made in Japan. I accidentally forgot right after they were installed and stepped on one wearing socks. They work.
I'm the same with amps...I enjoy working on instruments as much as playing them.

I'm guessing there would be liability issues using a nail board for aggressive sales guys that can't read. Oh, well. Some people use nail boards. The electric mats are a more humane deterrent and doesn’t injure them.
