Except for Emmett Kelly they're all a bit creepy-which sorta fits here:rolleyes:
I don't get it. If you ask a clown why they wear makeup, they'll tell you that it's to show on the outside, who they are on the inside. They are concerned only with bringing joy to the masses. A woman will wear makeup to conceal who she really is, and is capable of reducing lives to rubble and devouring souls. Somehow... it's clowns that get the bad rep? :eyebrow:

Of course I'm not saying all women will do that. I'm just sayin' that, in the real world... who do you have more reason to be afraid of? ;)

Anybody know any European women who enjoy clowning? I think I just figured out who my soul mate's gonna be...

Did you have that weird phenomena of mass sightings of sinister clowns a couple of years ago? They were all over the place here appearing out of dark alleys at night and stuff scaring the living daylights out of people.

No idea why clowns have a bad rep, I loved them at the circus when I was small. There used to be a field next door to us (built on now) where a circus used to come every year, they always had me over to play with them, they were so funny. Happy memories :)

Italian cooking - always delicious! Even more so the next day!
Asian cooking - when it's good it's great! When it's not it's horrid!
French cooking - when isn't it great? Why the Fvck are the serving portions from the kids menu?
British cooking - nothing ultra fancy. Just like what mom used to make, perfect.
German cooking - pork cooked 20 different ways. Would you like boiled potatoes with your mashed potatoes?
American cooking - meat and lots of it. Would you like deep fried anything for a side dish?
Indian cooking - protein swimming in spices. Save some prep time, force feed the lamb curry powder.
Canadian cooking - moose, elk, deer or bear. Field dress it, freeze it and eat it for the next 6 months.
Australian cooking - if it moves, kill it and throw it on the barbie. Crap, I think it might have been poisonous!
Awesome..

Indian cooking - protein swimming in spices. Save some prep time, force feed the lamb curry powder. And sweat into the pan while cooking..:roflmao::roflmao:

The trouble is most people only ever get to eat Indian food at Indian restaurants which is exactly like G described it, bin worthy at best. Cooking in India is very different, yes there's a lot of spices but it's done so much better. I you really fancy tasting real Indian food without going to India I can highly recommend the book "Indian Cookery" by Madhur Jaffrey, it is the closest I've found outside of a family home in India and every recipe is genuinely delightful if you follow it carefully (cut back on the chilli if you wish, it doesn't need to be fiery hot). As a taster here is a recipe from it, it is mild and creamy and totally moreish Deliciousness of Yum: Chicken With Cream

Any pics? what color? They used to sell for so cheap back in the 80's. Hate to say this but it was almost like if you could not afford a P you got one of those..
No, never took a pic-except to sell it on Reverb. Since deleted. Sold it 'cause I wasn't using it. Shortly after, I needed a short scale. Always a dollar late and a day short. Cherry, BTW.:bag:

Not a Thunderbird, I'll have one anyway, I'm channeling my inner Andy Fraser.

What year span would you have to shop if you were looking for that slotted headstock?

That (EB-3L in brown w/slotted hs) was the first serious bass I ordered (in '70-71?) from a local music store but instead Gibson sent them a red short-scale EB-3. I nearly turned it down because I wanted the one like this one but also wanted a bass after waiting so long. I liked it ok but eventually stripped it to natural, defretted it (pre knowledge of Jaco) and then I bought my first T-bird. The EB was sold and that was that.

Late 1969 to 1971.

I think late 60's. I could be wrong but I believe the slotted headstock only came with the Long Scale model.
They look sooooo cool! I want a white one.
That would be incorrect. The EB-3L was released early 1970

I'd forgotten about that... but my argument stands. There's a far greater chance of being hurt by a woman than a clown. I can't back it up, but I'm fairly certain that the aforementioned "sinister clowns"... were not clowns at all, but instead, a group of malicious dumbschitts organized on the web. Ask a real clown & I'll wager they won't have much good to say about them;)

What if your dating a female clown?
