Those SVT heads are sooooo heavy. I reached up onto a full stack to bring one down and it almost caused a hernia. You must have had to work out.
97 pounds. My 800 Watt Little Markbass weighs 12...
The other day I set it on top of my car as you would a book and proceeded to drive around the Safeway parking lot totally having forgotten I left it there...thank god for a group of people pointing at it going watch out!!..

Nope! Better than that. It-and the 165 # 810 cab-went up on stage and came down 50 WEEKS later for 2 weeks, back up for 50 more weeks, out for 2, and back up 1 more time for 26 weeks 'til end of gig(hotel in Miami Beach)

Wuddya, been watching that Domino's commercial?:smug:

Been gone a little while so I'd like to make a cameo by sharing my $4 thrift store find. Tension on the pedal's a little loose but I can fix that when I've got some free time.

Agree.
There's always potentially healing effects of a proper state of mind and positive thinking and aroma therapy and chanting or whatever alternative medicine interests you. However, IMHO those if desired, should be used in conjunction with traditional medical treatments under the care of a trusted medical professional and never in place of traditional medicine.
Certainly miracles can happen with homeopathy but I'd personally rather not rely on a miracle cure when there are statically much better odds using traditional medical treatments. If you want to better your odds, feel free to use homeopathy to augment your traditional medicine. YMMV

I think of it as Complimentary Medicine. Practitioners must (IMO) know to send their customers to MDs when indicated, and must do so.

I believe in science myself. The office sent this stuff over and I wasn’t sure what to make of it.
(Hat? Broach? Taradactal?) I was just curious about other people’s experience and opinions. Not looking to turn TB into webMD,
But the breadth of information here has always impressed me.
Tetanus shot has been administered.

Glad to hear it. Don’t muck around with animal bites.

I'd never seen that video. Being a train fanatic I enjoyed it a lot. Cumbres and Toltec RR in Colorado. Cool!

It's the Rio Grande, C&T is a poseur outfit!

I still have my '82 MTI SVT head. I never weighed it, but when it's in it's Anvil case I estimated the weight to be about 150 pounds. Between rehearsals and gigs I used to move it 3 or 4 times a week for almost 20 years. Looking back, I must have been insane to haul that amp around. I've been playing out the last 16 years with a much lighter St Louis Music era SVT 400T. After 36 years I've decided to sell the MTI SVT...the best amp I've ever owned but I never want to move it again...and unfortunately I can't take it to the grave with me....or can I?

:jawdrop:Damn!, that a hell of a commitment. The things we do for tone.

...TBirds to me are more like blondes or red heads and Les Paul's are more like brunettes or black hair women. All good, the more the merrier! Of course that makes FSO more like bald headed girls, in other words there better be some other significantly redeeming features or I ain't buyin. ;)

Hmmm... For some reason Gail Ann Dorsey springs to mind... :)

My opinion is that homeopathy is nonsense. If it was real, then distilled water would be the most dangerous and powerful medicine on the planet. I would stick to a real doctor doing real doctor stuff. If you need antibiotics and think that homeopathy will work, then good for you. But, I sure wouldn't trust it. My wife got sucked in by that stuff for a while, and it took some real problems to get the quackery out of our lives. I hate even bringing that up, because it makes me good and angry thinking about how that kind of nonsense harms people and preys upon worried people.

100% agreed! Lots of good money going to waste chasing nonsense as medicine.

It appears that @hillerup is struggling to keep up. He has gone from 30 pages behind to 48 pages behind.

I just don't have internet at the "new" house... Yet... And there are other things which currently are more important than being on line, so... ;)

Maybe use the road case as your coffin? Win/Win!
