I used to be completely opposed to pineapple on pizza. And dipping a "Hawaiian Pizza" in ranch dressing was about as appealing as someone dropping a deuce on a pizza :poop::poop::poop:.
Somewhere along the line I gave in to peer pressure (actually beer pressure) and tried it. No problem eating it since then. I understand why people don't like pineapple on food. I for one don't care for it on a burger or teriyaki chicken sandwich.

I would use a black cover that blends in a well as it can. No need to distract from the beauty of the inlay.

When I was in my high-school 'combo' I rented an amp for one gig at the Officers Club at Offutt airbase near Omaha where I grew up. My Heathkit ss amp was not working or something - I can't remember why I had to rent an amp. It was a B-18 with the green glowing glass plate. I thought it was cool that it collapsed into itself. Back then I really was pretty clueless about sound/tone etc - all I cared about was "was it loud enough?" At another gig at our high-school auditorium my bass was in the shop and I rented a '66 CAR Jazz with matching hs. (it's what they handed me when I asked to rent a bass) I only recall that the pu covers were in the way and I took them off for the show. It was also bigger than my short-scale EB-3 and felt bigger playing it.

I'd like a glowing plexiglass plate for my PF-50T. Probably have to fabricate it myself.

It could be done - it's a pretty basic thing. Back then if buying new you could order to have the lucite plate engraved with your name for a nominal fee. I don't know if this is still available, but Gregg Hopkins of Vintage-Amp Restoration reproduces these Lucite plates for the B-15 and can even personalize it with your name.

I believe the B-18 was Jamerson's favorite recording setup along with his "Funk Machine"..
