Listening without seeing the vid is entirely a different, more intense experience. Of course, watching her is pretty intense too.


In a weird way she reminds me of Dusty Springfield - both had a very characteristic persona, and both used their hands very expressively. (needless to say both were/still are incredibly talented)
 
I find that continuing forward momentum while a new member is being sought is super important and binds the existing band members together stronger.

Per @PillO's smartarse suggestion, that's what drum machines are for. The singer programmed drums under one of my basslines and it's seriously good. Onwards and upwards.
