Mine does not have that issue. Then again, the pickups are about as low as they will go. It still has its unique beastly quality. Either I got lucky or have prehistoric ears. Or both, which is probably closer to truth.
I'd be very interested in hearing what strings you use, what the clearance is between your neck pup and the strings, and if you have a small magnet you can use for a test - what the orientation of each pup is (are the neck poles on the neck pup the same polarity as the neck poles on the bridge pup.
Those three things would tell me a ton!
I'll even buy you a pitcher of beer next time I see you!

@MCF this applies to you too - free beer!!!

But who'd drink it.:smug:

Been a tough couple of days. I paddled 13 km yesterday and again today. (13km=8mi for those stuck on measures that don't take advantage of engineering notation). Garmin says it involved burning more than 900 calories each time. So, yeah, asleep at the switch. Literally - I needed a nap yesterday and today.
So wait. You paddled eight miles? How long did it take? 3-4 hours? And only expended 900 calories? I’m thinking there are lot more efficient forms of exercise. One in particular, never even leave the house...

Those Traynor 1510s are excellent cabs. Lots of bottom end, punchy mids. They rattle the fixtures and shake the basement floor. I love mine.
Speaking of Traynor, there’s a Bassmaster 800 for sale locally for $300. Just not sure if I want a 25lb amp:thumbsdown: when I could get an 8lb amp that can push the same kind of power.

Teah. 'Specially if ya didn't have AC(it didn't). Also kinda liked what my dad called the pneumonia hole-side vents(53 Studebaker, also on my 2 Freightliners)and the cowl vent on my 63 Volvo pv544.

my '66 122s had um' (and an aftermarket A/C that I had removed when I bought it in '76 (a doctors car) The only car I wish I still had. (in mint condition!)

The 544 cowl vent was well used. Which ‘53 Studi? My Dad had a ‘54 Flight Hawk. Amazing and beautiful car. Until he ran it into a light pole in a bar parking lot. Yeah. Mom was pissed. We still talk about it today. That was such a beautiful car.
