That's one of George's (69 Vette) basses, the finish was shot to $#^& , I meant to have the hole on the upper bout filled when it was painted but forgot to mention it - D'oh!

Ok. I'm a bit confused. I've seen a couple of times on TB reference to Goths with 1.5" neck width at nut. Yet Epiphone Australia list all the bolt-ons at 1.7+" with the at nut, and only the neck through TBirds at 1.5".

Did the Bolt-on necks change and Epiphone not update their website? Or ???

all bolt on thunderbirds up until 2012-13 were 1.7 nut width. cause my goth is an 09 & had the wider nut spacing (ive shaved it down to 1 5/8) cant speak for 2012 & on goth models but the bolt ons are now 1.5. epiphone doesnt update their specific site to be current, theyll list new models available but they wont update specs on each model to keep them to date.

That's great news, thanks for the reply Andii.

I like the 1.65" nut width on my current basses (all 3) and was a bit leery of 1.5" when I was looking at a jazz, it just seemed impossibly thin... Until I tried my nephews Pro, I loved that neck.
Now I don't want to go larger than 1.65/1.68 " and want to go narrower :)

The newer bolt-ons are on the list (again) now. Yay.
