Been awhile since I played along for
THUNDERBIRD THURSDAY!

Just the Gibson family.

You guys seemed to like the Baby Animals. The Divinyls were sort of a proto Baby Animals. Rock music, with the female singer and the lead guitarist being the constant thread.

I’m pretty sure you know one of their songs, but even before Chrissie Amphlett was touching herself the Divinyls were putting out some good stuff.

Nice! I also really liked Single Gun Theory.

You have a JC yet?

Funny thing is I don't have any GAS to speak of right now. Maybe specific hihats, but that's it. That's a really low level of GAS, too. As in, it doesn't turn up much. The drum kit sounds good, and anything that needs changing can be done with heads or simple tuning. All the cymbals sound good. The bass guitars I have make me happy. A '64 would be nice to have, but I don't know what the point would really be. The upright sounds good and feels good. Another one of those would take up too much space anyway. I already have way too many ribbon mics. Repairs and maintenance come before a bigger pile. There's no urge to look at amps or pedals or anything else like that. I'm even satisfied with the van and the motorcycle. The world must be about to end.

No. It's on my 'one of these days' list. It's very mild GAS and it wouldn't be the end of the world if it never happened. But if I get another one, it will be a JC.

What would Einstein do in this STRESSFUL situation? :hyper:
Wait. I thought @PillO was Einstein
We are doing Come Together in a Hard Rock Band. Young people are enjoying it, perhaps because there is a commercial using it currently airing.
It’s always a cool song. When it first cam out, our 6th grade teacher played it and had the class snake atound the room to it. One kid’s mom got super upset because the lyrics were, well.....

Done it too much. I don't care for really early Beatles all that much anyway. If you are going to play like Carl Perkins, play like Carl Perkins. I get along with their later songs better.

Yay! I'm #790

I've played pretty much everything, and love my Thunderbird. Sounds great and she's comfortable and perfectly balanced. For my current project (rock / punk cover band), I need a solid body bass that I can beat on for a three hour gig, and I really prefer the feel of a nitro finish. I have a lead on a black pickguard w/ gold logo, and then when that goes on, I'll swap out the knobs for gold Gibson tophats...
You have a lead on a Unicorn? More than one available? PM me if you’ve found a source. I’ve searched a few times without success.

I installed a creative audio redeemer circuit in my spector classic x yesterday. I much prefer it to the tone pump junior circuit. So, now it is volume, volume, tone. It just sounds more natural. Eventually, I WILL get to build my custom bird, which for me, is pretty much a spector bird like nikki sixx used to play, probably with p/j pups, but bolt on. I owned the schecter sixx bass with sunburst finish. It was a really nice bass but, heavy as hell and not quite as sexy shaped as a gibson. Sounded, played, looked and was built great though.

Ive been a billy sheehan type player most of my playing career but man, I really enjoy letting a bird hang down to my junk and using a pick sometimes! Im starting to get alittle obsessed with birds.
Obsession is a virtue around here.

I was as surprised as you and the cat! Even the drummer, who's also an audio engineer, was surprised. He seems to have the same taste in bass amps as I. I still have no interest in a Markbass, but at least I can get along with one when I have to.
I was looking at a used cab at a GC, GK 4x10. I can’t recall the actual model. The sales kid hooked it up to one of those. Didn’t like what I heard. No idea if there was something wrong with it (there may have been, the price was very reasonable) or I just didn’t like the amp.
