Sweet!

I'm new to the Greco world, bought a 1977 TB900 single pup a few weeks ago. I absolutely love it!

IIRC the TB1100 was the dual pup in 1977, not sure how the TB70 differs from the TB1100 model but if yours sounds anything like mine you're in for quite a treat.

Happy New Bass day! Rock it hard!

Sent a request via their website to the folks at Babicz yesterday, got this in a reply email today, in case anyone else is interested in the same info...

"Hi Kara,
We only have black 3 points for the Epiphone at the moment. I do expect to have chrome before the end of the year, so please 'stay tuned'! Thanks~JC

Babicz Guitars"
I love Babicz bridges. I learned about them when I bought a 2013 EB. I let that bass go, but then got it back. And, I'm a complete Babicz convert.

Which means they’re added that to the line. I’m glad to know that. Like Hipshot, they’re a good company.
The new Bab bridge specifically designed for the Eppi is very cool. It now is a true full contact bridge on the Eppi, much better design than the previous model which worked great on the Gibby but not on the Eppi.

So, for S&G I emailed them with some questions. Lessee what they hafta say.
Please don’t hold your breath waiting for a response. I’m like I for 4 or 5 getting one of their stores to respond to an email inquiry. You’re more likely to get them to answer the phone. If you call on a Tuesday through Thursday, about twenty minutes after they open.

Nice strap!

I've been getting into woven straps lately. On eBay thay are sometimes referred to as "hippy straps" ... whatever, because it's a '60s thing. They can be pretty cheap to very expensive (if original/vintage) I've got a few now from the more affordable side. The better quality ones have leather ends, and the cheap ones have vinyl ends. Both work but the leather end ones are nicer.

Well, you sent me down the rabbit hole...

It appears that DR has ceased production of all the coated strings except for Dragon Skins, Silver Stars, and Bootzillas. I guess the various colours didn't sell well enough to warrant continued production. From my reading, the three remaining are each different. Bootsy are coated steel on a hex core, Dragon are coated steel on a round core, and Silver are nickel on a round core.

FYI:
I talked to my DR rep today. They have not discontinued the neon colored strings. And especially Black Beauties, which has become their #1 selling bass string.

Nice strap!

Here's another - colour coordinated no less... bass looks more blue than this warm lighting pic shows - very close to a LPB.

OK, I'll see about giving them a call manana-or tomorrow, whichever comes first. I'd asked for specifics and a pic or 2 of the 'neck repair' and also what the total would be sent to the nearest GC, plus tax. And a recappable tire.
Then I'd need to see what it would run to have it refinished. Not a fan of white. I was thinking more like puce or taupe, maybe digital USN camo.:rollno: Ooh, ecru!
ETA: Now I've got it: SP Daylight red for the wings and Daylight orange for the center section and neck with black for the hs.
One more thought: ACL purple for the wings and aluminum for the center/neck with black hs and "Champion"in purple on the aluminum(color) pg.
