Thunderbird Club

The neighborly thing to do would be to to ask the neighbor or the Gardner to not start up their equipment until 8:00. If pajama boy didn't follow that decorum I'd have promptly aimed my sprinklers over his wall as he struck the third chord of his guitar hero attack - instant fireworks!
I was thinking the same thing after commenting. Could've been other factors involved. Like the homeowners were not at home or had no idea. They may have been as irritated with the gardeners as anybody. Taking it out on "potentially" an innocent party is kind of stupid and immature. Of course there may be more to the story. The neighbors may not be very neighborly themselves. They quite possibly might not have appreciated loud parties he may have had over the years. A lot of things to consider, most of which we don't have access to here. May be entirely justified or he may be one very talented sphincter. We'll never know.

Would your opinion change if the neighbour in question were Justin Bieber? Ellen Degeneris? A Kardasian?

Info:
The 200 has the more usual pentode output, while the 100 and 300 are "Ultralinear" and should be much cleaner up to a higher power out. Lows should be much clearer too; even the 100 should have clearer lows than the 200.

Also, every tube gain stage in the 100 and 300 is followed immediately by a cathode follower, so the gain stages drive a high impedance, which helps keep them linear.

I have a 300 (same preamp as 100), and it is very clean compared to any tube amps I've heard.

This was my first Ultralinear amp. I was afraid it might be too clean or sound funny. But no, I like the tight lows of the power section very much.

My Embassy Pro - which is a member of the THUNDERBIRD family - likes it too.
Did I read right that Eppi no longer makes the Embassy Pro?

PSA:
According to one source (ZZounds), another run of Embassy Pro is coming with November delivery projected.

LOL - that's a totally different situation that reeks of easy money. The enterprising neighbor in that situation would probably carefully build a case of public disturbance by sending cease and desist letters to the deep pocket neighbors, then before they can respond rapidly move on to police visits followed by a million dollar lawsuit for sleep depravation, mental anguish and hearing loss, of course settling out of court for half that. Five hundred thousand bucks buys a lot of TBirds. ;)

Sigh...

Well, after I won the bid for the GBP (Ghost 'Bird Project) CV, I was sure, maybe even hopeful, I would get outbid on the other auction
Epiphone thunderbird bass | eBay

But no!
So, I now have 3 TSOs en route to my location.
Maybe I should just go ahead and drill that extra hole in my head :meh:

Oh, and apparently I fail at speeling "bollocks" too! :roflmao:
You just did the Duke'o'frock win with a losing bid thing. You are well and truly one of us. You have been chosen multiple times by multiple Thunderbirds. It is an honor, not a problem!

Well, I missed a good deal on a VP(ebony). And I don't hafta do anything, but I seem to have developed a bit of GAS for a less rare 'Bird that I don't hafta be afraid of taking out in public. And the CP I'm looking at appears to be in excellent shape. My guess is I could resell it pretty much at no loss if I don't like it.
UPDATE: Decided to pass(I'll kick my own @$$ later). I've lost at least $3500 in gigs we couldn't do. And I have 4 basses that aren't being played much as it is. I did let the seller know of my 'after I slept on it' decision. Now all I gots to do is wait for the virus to go away and Epi to make the RI, VP, NR, TBII/IV in _____ finish. Wonder which'll happen first.

Nice bit of shelter from the wind near the coast guard station. Otherwise, a bit windy with chop about 1ft, maybe a bit more.

Nice pic, kayaking is one of my favorite outdoors thing, along with biking and trekking.
Where izzat pic taken ?

Burlington Bay - west end of lake Ontario. It separates Hamilton from Burlington. There is often great lakes shipping traffic monday to friday as raw material is delivered and finished product picked up from the steel mills of Hamilton.

Between '94 and '99, I used to frequently travel for business along the 401 from Ottawa, to either Windsor or the Welland area and northwise on the 17 to Sudbury, Timmins and Hearst. Sometimes twice a month. Those were good years, lots of driving, which I loved at the time. Two years ago, had a week-long bike vacation from Collingwood to Kincardine and back, lots of sights near Lake Huron. I'm okay with big cities as long as I don't have to live in them, but nature is my thing. Beautiful country, we have.

CORRECTION: The 100 is not ultralinear, but has the usual pentode (or beam power) output like the 200. So it should have the earlier thickening that we expect from tube musical instrument power amps.

The 300 is definitely ultralinear.

Thanks to @Chucky Stiletti for checking into this.

If your purpose is to be a source of temptation--mission accomplished! :D I would love to have a Thunderbird with a flame top. This is making me want to take a shot at building something myself. Just can't see it in the near future though. Can't wait to see how your project turns out. So I can have more envy, of course! Hurry up! You done yet? What's the hold up, bandits?
I wish, 4-5 weeks, if I have a custom neck, it'll be 12 weeks from Musicraft. I'm going to match the neck to the body maple accent, will have to see it in person first
