1. You are more recognizable with the ball cap.
2. Ditch the headphones - too Davie504
3. How did you like the JC? (I find it isn't good for sitting; the body is too big for that)
loved it, the quality is breathtaking...nice neck and very playable...exceptional tone versatility, been thinking about possibly getting one..totally see why you swear by yours. Yeah

Here's what I use when I need to A/B something...

Rock solid, Dead quiet, has LEDs so you know what's live, can run one input to two outputs or two inputs to one output, also toggles from A to B or both A and B. It does require a power source but can run on a battery as well.

The power is just for the LEDs, right?

Not sure exactly what you're trying to do but this is the best invention since sliced bread when you have to be wired up directly to the amp and don't want to deal with popping and other obnoxious noises when switching basses...

It's a Planet Waves (now D'Addario I think) switched instrument cable. Simply push the mute button, unplug, plug in the next bass and push the mute button again. Works great, been using this one almost daily for nearly 10 years now and no issues with it ever.

I have built cables with plugs that have movable sleeves that self-quieten. What I'm wanting to do is leave both basses wired up, and just switch between them when I change basses, rather than have to unplug and replug. Quicker and less chances of dropping something, causing buzz, etc.

I have one of these I use at home, so I can leave my main T-bird plugged in, and use the other cable for whatever else I'm working on/testing/etc.(no power cord needed unless you want the LED to work):

That's one I was considering- almost as cheap as they come, which made me wonder.

That is a bit of a dodgy way to estimate demand.

A better estimate:
There are more than 900 members here. Each would buy two unless all three of Pelham Blue, Inverness Green, and Burgundy Mist Metallic are offered in which case each member would buy three. So bottom end sales at least 1800 and if the extra colours are offered then 2700.

I don't have a formula for the Thunderbird inlay at the 12 fret.

No, no, no. It's a very conservative (not in the political sense) method of estimating demand. Just look at hopw the government extrapolates things.

Really is a great bass. Every one that i have tried has been solid.
Do it!!!
Came close last year when I got the new old stock Goth when the local Mom and Pop changed owners. They had it on Reverb for either $600 or $650 I think. They would have let me have it for $450 cash out the door. Decided I’d think about it. Went back a week or so later and course it was gone. Not sure I’d play one enough to justify having one. They’re different. Maybe someday if I come across one of the blue ones.

Oh man... just saw this...the good ole days..think I prefer @TBird1958 ’s version and audience.....that said...nice to see the alte kakers having fun!:D..

Ok. I’m ‘62. And I wasn’t all that young when that song came out. Graduated College....how old are those people and do I look anything like that? Scary.

Veronica’s vid is better.

That's such a New England style term to use. :roflmao:

Any chance you grew up somewhere between Maine and Pennsylvania. If not, I just haven't heard anyone say chucked for throwing something away in years and years, at least not since I landed in Michigan from New York.

edit: That word is also interchangeable with, "threw up".

- I heard you may have had too much to drink last night.

- Yeah, I chucked. :vomit:

originally from northern “old”’England...

Yep, used "chucked" a lot in Kentucky and in Colorado. I always considered it more of a rual, farm boy, country kid type of slang. Ways I've used it...
"I chucked a rock at that rabbit"
"Didn't need it anymore so I chucked it"
"Chuck that idea"

Upchuck was something completely different.

We generally (I never heard it) don’t use Chuck as a name. Sorry @Chucky Stiletti

hereabouts chuck is a synonym of throw, as in “Chuck us a tinny mate”.

we don’t upchuck either, there is plenty of chucking, spewing etc as ways of describing the good old “technicolour yawn” (or “driving the porcelain bus”).

The power is just for the LEDs, right?
Correct. LEDs only.

Makes sense.
