I thought "taking ownership" was either embezzlement or theft...It’s part of “taking ownership”. Which is an interesting concept having nothing to do with actual ownership of company assets, income, stock, authority, etc.

I'm still waiting on a call back from Home Depot from weeks ago. I hope they do eventually call, or next time I go in.... Is it just me or are more people lacking in work ethic and competence?Hold on. You got someone at HD to check on something? I thought they were like Jeff Dunham's Walter-"Welcome to _______. Get yer[stuff]and get out."
First part-no; yes. 2nd-I'm not even on my own lawn.I'm still waiting on a call back from Home Depot from weeks ago. I hope they do eventually call, or next time I go in.... Is it just me or are more people lacking in work ethic and competence?
Get off my lawn...
Respectfully, I'm not convinced that's the most likely reason. It’s part of “taking ownership”. Which is an interesting concept having nothing to do with actual ownership of company assets, income, stock, authority, etc.
Look up Southern California Orthopedic Institute. They have a few locations throughout SoCal. And several good surgeons in all specialties. Let us know when you’re coming.Sounds like you need to take an extended vacation to a state of your choice south of the border. You're pretty much free to see a doctor down here for elective surgery right now (wasn't the case last summer).
Not just you. Unless you get one of the old timer part-time guys who have hung up their tool belt, you’re on your own at HD. Since they’re mostly self serve checkout, you never talk to an employee. And the one by us has a lot of shoplifters. Walk in, open the package, put it in a pocket walk out. I’ve seen it told an employee and they shrig their shoulders.I'm still waiting on a call back from Home Depot from weeks ago. I hope they do eventually call, or next time I go in.... Yeah, it ain't comin' outta their pay...Not just you. Unless you get one of the old timer part-time guys who have hung up their tool belt, you’re on your own at HD. Yep. But we end up paying higher prices.Yeah, it ain't comin' outta their pay...
Given potential long-term complications, I hope you find and consider options for remedy sooner than the "wisdom" of your leaders seems to allow. (They mean well and ultimately know what's best... [no emoji for what I'm thinking). Very good hand surgeons here if you want to escape to get it taken care of. They even did the first hand transplant years ago. Hopefully you won't need that. What a terrible week it has been!
For days I had nothing to do but visit the L&M and Sweetwater websites and see if the non-reverse Thunderbirds are listed. Then endlessly refresh the page just in case they had just been put online.
Here in Ontario, we have been locked down harder because <redacted for very strong language>.
And through all of this, I have been unable to practice.
Last week I pinched a nerve in my left arm. I had previously had a nerve impingement in my right arm; it caused pain and tingling; I had surgical release. The plastic surgeon was awesome - I was unable to play the day of surgery and the day after but was back on it the third day.
This one is much worse than the previous. It is accompanied by very significant weakness in my hand. It is bad enough that when typing, although I hit keys with my left hand, I can't always depress the letter enough to register the keystroke (I suppose I will get better at proof-reading). That means it needs repairing soon, else muscle wasting sets in. And in the wisdom of our politicians, all elective surgery is to be cancelled. I am worried now that I may not get surgery in time to preserve function in my hand.
Used them with great success about a year and a half ago.Look up Southern California Orthopedic Institute. They have a few locations throughout SoCal. And several good surgeons in all specialties. Let us know when you’re coming.
I did camera installation projects at HD stores and heard from staff they have a significant shoplifting problem.Yep. But we end up paying higher prices.

@PillO, sounds like you have an open invitation to come to sunny SoCal and visit MCF and I. And if by some bizarre chance your nerve issue should flare up again while you're here () I'm sure MCF and I could help you find a good doctor or surgeon.
Of course the down side is that your physical therapy needs would dictate extended playing on all seven of my TBirds and any of the other fifty basses and guitars I own as well as MCF's excellent selection of birds. Heck, I'd bet that even @D.M.N. might let you swing by for a quick strum on some of his neat stuff, or better yet, sit in on a recording session or attend a gig.
Get better soon.![]()
He could check on a watermelon head transplant while he’s at it.I given potential long-term complications, I hope you find and consider options for remedy sooner than the "wisdom" of your leaders seems to allow. It has definitely been played.

Not generally. Not saying this is a fake, I wouldn't have a clue (looks legit to me), but do we see as much pseudo-Thunderbirds as we see for Fender Js and Ps ?
Not aimed at you--just indicating my occasional crankiness I'm now entitled to now that I'm a couple years from 60, which may account for my previous complaint.2nd-I'm not even on my own lawn.
