Thunderbird Club

I'm certain I'll get opposing views, but I think Terry kath was the best 'all-around' guitarist I've ever had the pleasure to hear-live and in person. 3x.

He was in the same league as Jimi Hendrix. Clapton was good - but second fiddle compared to these guys.

Pages go by so quickly...

I’m also doing the 3-piece, rock, bar-band thingy.

Someone asked about a flanger or chorus. I could never find one I liked for live use. I couldn’t hear it enough and it sacrificed too much of the bass. Phaser, however, definitely is a useful tool.

I was using an MXR P90 script logo for a long time, but it got booted off my little board in favor of the Source Audio C4. That pedal also booted off my EBS Octobass, and EHX Micro Synth.

If you do go with a C4, I’d suggest also a little midi switch to take full advantage of what it has to offer. You can access 6 presets without a separate switch. You can have 128 with a switch. Shown below is the Disaster Area DMC micro PRO switch.

Kath was one of the greatest musicians I've ever heard. One of the best guitarists ever, an incredibly powerful, soulful voice, and knew his place in the band and didn't overpower anyone else.

Chicago had a lotta 'jazz' influences, which was reflected in Terry's playing, yet he could kick @$$ with the best. And he had one(!)pedal: a wah-wah.

There's live Miles from then where everyone in the band had a way-wah pedal except the drummer & percussionist!
