I think I drooled when I first saw that on FB.
Must have been something in the water at Gibson then, because I had an '06 SG Bass that was perfect too. Sounded and played great, and was flawless. So like any reasonable person, I ended up selling it. Lol. Had a '06 white Firebird that was the same way. An 07 Money bass had a truss rod issue, but was great otherwise and an '09 reverse was perfect, even in balance. Seriously, something about Gibsons from those couple of years was really on.
I have the same opinion of my 2013. And most likely this 2018 I just got.
Of the colors offered, that’s the most interesting to me.
That's great! I don't have any experience with any models from those years, but I'm glad yours are awesome. I was considering one of those Pelham Blue NRs back when they were new.
Yeah, it's really deep and rich. I'd like to see it in person to see how it really looks. See the brightness/saturation, if it's a little more purplish or true red, etc.

The color of these new green NR birds is killing me, every one I see looks different - and they all look great.

I remember when I was considering your modern Gibson Thunderbird I was really hesitant because it seemed about half the reviews and comments concerning them were related to flaws or poor quality control. As a result, I almost didn't pull the trigger on this one. But I am glad I did. I don't know what people were seeing and getting that we're bad, but I literally don't think I can find a flaw anywhere on mine.
BTW, do you have any family in KY, assuming Tanner might be a last name? An elderly lady who was a good friend just passed away last week and her maiden name was Tanner and she has family (brother) in GA.
Great addition to neck dive, one trick pony, uncomfortable, etc. Likely nothing new has been added in a long time and is long overdue. Good thinking.
