I wish they would:

1. Makes a reverse in an color other than black/white/sunburst and use the pick-up rings on this model
2. Make the NR with the reverse neck profile
3. Use a 2 piece bridge on both
4. Offer special order (left handed/custom colors/relicing (for those who like it)

and do it all in a semi-consistent fashion.

If nothing else, let the Custom Shop paint your bass in your preferred color. Charge a couple hundred more vs te B/W/SB.

I have a Model One, and have been mulling a change to the fretless 'Bird's pickups. Maybe it should get the Model One. And I am not sure what by the bridge.

I like the idea of a Model One in the sweet spot and a Hawkbucker at the bridge.

Hows about those Grego pickup placements? How do they compare to the 60's Gibson or other variations? The bridge pickup seems to be a tad closer to the neck pickup than on a 60's 'bird.
