This is the new thread for owners, or soon to be owners of the Two Notes Le Bass tube preamp.

We can discuss everything from settings to which side (A/B or Hot/Cold) you use for which songs. I've found that I never turn it off. It's part of my tone no matter what other effect I might be using.

So show those pics of Le Bass on your pedal board!

Here is my Two Notes pedal board!!!

If any of you have questions about the LeBass I can help as I work for Two Notes in North America. I am not here to sell gear to you, you should contact a dealer for that. I am also a working bassist playing a about 200 shows a year and I use the products we sell in the same environments the rest of you do. Even though I am a "gear guy" I am one of us too, lol.

I am happy to offer insights and advice on these products or offer tech support if you need it.

So, I am totally looking at getting the Le Bass and then putting a Source Audio Programmable Eq and my MXR bass compressor in the loop. I almost think that this would make one of the closest things to an actual bass amp on the floor. Any thoughts?

So I have my Le bass Pre on my board now. The only other effects I run are Chorus and Octaver. Should I run these in the effects loop or just in the pedal chain after the preamp. ?

If you use it as a DI, put them in the loop.
Just remember, the effect loop is only active when the LeBass is engaged (on either channel).

Whatever you like, try both.
I run my big board with time based effects (and compressor/ADSR) in the loop, everything else is before the pre, on the small board I run fuzz/envelope/phaser/wah in the loop, only the wireless before the pre, that lets me kick the effects together when I engage the pre.

For the first little bit ill run : tuner - preamp - comp - noise gate
And

Yes, whatever you want, it's good for both.


Edit: I would do tuner-compressor,octave preamp, and then the chorus and noise gate in the loop, your octave will track better and you would be able to throw some dirt on it.

What a better way to backup my settings than to share with others?

This patch covers 90% of my needs with Le Bass. Season power amp distortion to taste as per below.

Just wanted to fill you in,
Last night I played with "FiftyWatt", one of the bands I'm in, hard, drop tuned, thrashy rock band.
I finally dialed in cold fusion mode as an "always on" pre, I was able to control the saturation and thump-iness with my volume knob and right hand technique, sounded like I was using a Ric with a guitar amp/bass amp setup but with without actually doing that.

Again, is it just me or do any of you find the knobs on Le Bass difficult to read?

In nearly every type of lighting, ambient or direct, I feel like I am blind trying to see the marker.

I popped-off a knob on my pedal to find that Le Bass requires D-Shaft knobs and sourcing replacements that fit will be very challenging.

I would gladly pay for a replacement set if Two Notes could advise of the knob specs or identify alternatves. @Basstyra

I see your point, if it bothered me more I would buy a set of round white stickers for a buck and mark them with a sharpie.

Any thoughts on powering the Le Bass with a T-Rex Fueltank Chameleon? With two 300mA outputs stacked it should be fine, but I have read (on basschat.co.uk, I guess) that somehow the Le Bass doesn't handle too well with the T-Rex power supplies...
If this is true I'd rather go for a Cioks DC5 or DC8.

So for those whom have experience with the Avalon U5, how does the Le Bass compare tonally? Tone setting 2 on the U5 is very close to what I'm trying to achieve and I was curious how the Le Bass stacks up.
