Yes I play with my fingers. And fingerstyle players are certainly not in some sort of minority of style. The cab sim is just too dark and lacking definition.
Channel A is a bit boomy with the cab sim, if you're not using channel B for drive, clean it up and try it, a whole different beast. Mine is almost always in cold fusion mode with medium gain on B.
just picked one of these up with a view to it replacing by DHA VT1 which I'm currently using with a power amp. Also thinking it may be able ot replace my OD/Fuzz pedals but we will see. Hoping it will be the three channel preamp I hop it to be.
So I haven't been able to play or a week or so - us music teachers are super busy at the end of the year....
But today I've been practicing and man, does Le Bass sound great!
I don't use the cab sim since I've been using the 1/4" output but I did try it. And yep - it does add too much boom / dark character to Channel A for my taste. But it's always good to have features and options.

I recently used it on guitar for a client's record, sounds like a Fender Bassman.
I talked to Le Bass support and he said it's similar to Le Clean but with a different voicing.
I haven't tried the LeClean yet but I'm guessing it's pretty much the same pre with a low cut, the cab sim must be different and maybe the mid sweep range.
Appreciate the info. I figured the EQ points may be more tailored for bass, but was hoping it would do a decent job with EQ flat. Sounds like it will.
The compression afforded by the single 12AX7 is very good, but I myself add a compressor to keep things even smoother and more under control.

I'm concerned that the hot fusion mode isn't working correctly on my pedal. When in hot fusion, maxing the fusion knob doesn't appear to do anything. I would have thought that output and gain would increase? In cold fusion the fusion knob appears to add a volume boost to the signal. I assumed that in hot fusion, as the fusion knob was turned up the overall gain would increase too? Am I missing something?
After doing a little reading around the web I found a few people talking about noise and the power supply for Le Bass. I bought a Hosa ACD-477 to try. And yep, it is indeed quieter with the Hosa. Not a night / day difference, but enough
Out of curiosity, I order the PS you mentioned, and wanted to see if there was a difference. My experience, it was noticeably better. Worth the few dollars I spend on the replacement PS.
BTW, it's an awesome Pedal!
