I've read about it also (but I guess I'm not sophisticated enough to hear it!!). But there's a feature in the Aftershock that bypasses the distortion engine (where all the other features are available) and I'd be surprise that a high end roll off would apply...

Again - it's subtle and probably not worth your time if you're happy with the sound. I was happy but wanted to experiment.

Do you remember which region of the mids (low mids, upper mids, etc) the Tung Sol tube seemed to boost? Also, do you remember which Tung Sol tube you used specifically? I'm assuming there's a few different ones.

Channel A doesn't really do overdrive but at higher gains it definitely adds tube fatness/harmonics.

Thanks! I'm watching some videos again on YouTube and it certainly does seem to add some warmth and round off the top a bit, which is great!

One additional question:
I just realized to switch from a single channel to one of the Fusion modes, you have to press both channel buttons simultaneously... I'm not quite sure I like that, but how easy is it to kick both on with your feet in one step? Ideally, I want to run this with channel A soloed, and then kick in cold fusion mode when I want to add some dirt.

It is very easy to press both buttons at once and even easier if one does so with their foot at a slight angle.

Worth noting is that the foot switches on Le Bass are electronic-latching and one does not hear/feel a click in the internals of the switches while pressing on/off. Do not take this the wrong way, this is a good thing and the experience is of high quality.

Upper mids. But it was really subtle and you'd get much more affect doing something on the instrument. It was a 12AX7 but that's all I remember.

And to echo what others are saying about the channel switching - it is very easy to depress both switches with your foot!

So... I've been thinking about adding one of these for one of my rigs...

Rig 1 is a GK Fusion 800. - my guess is that they are pretty similar, so it might be a little redundant.

Rig 2 is a Markbass Multiamp. This is a great sounding head, but I wouldn't mind having some tube warmth added to it. My best guess is that I would go out of the MB and into the Le Bass, then to FOH or the board for recording. Optionally, I could add the Le Bass anywhere in the signal chain of the Multiamp, but my guess is that the AtoD converters would defeat most of what I'm looking for.

I usually use the Multiamp for cabinet/mic sims when recording as well as a one stop shop for all my effects.

Thoughts on how to best use the 2 of these together?

Man, I purchased this to use the various channels for "flavor" for slap parts and a little grind for our more rocking tunes, but last night while experimenting at rehearsal with using my effects outside of the loop I had it dialed in for "always on" tone in cold fusion mode and it was killing! I'd slip back over to channel A for a cleaner sound, but once I got cold fusion mode dialed in I didn't want to turn it off. I can't wait for my gigs this weekend!

If you boost the bass and treble on channel A, then it'll definitely scoop. But you can definitely get those mids back in cold fusion, and you can get channel B to clean up pretty nice on its own.

I agree 100%. U can keeps your mids. Bass is 'flat' for me at 9-10 o'clock. So I have plenty of mids. U can scoop them by cranking the bass and treble. Channel B can be cleaned up and remember u can swap in a lower gain tube and really clean up 'B'

To give @The_Phoenician some ideas, I run mine with these settings in cold fusion. It's definitely got some grit but you can dial that out, and there's plenty of midrange.
