The thing is, and it’s what makes me hesitant, the Le Bass has an effects loop that is bypassed when the pedal is… bypassed. So I would need to keep it always on in order to have access to the pedals I’d plug into the effects loop, right?
Now, my full and complete idea on how to use this if I get one and what connections I’d make is the following.
Signal path (in that order) :
- Bass
- Envelope filters and wah pedals
- Vintage sounding overdrive (Carl Martin Bass Drive… very different from what the Two Notes seem to sound like)
- Two notes Le Bass —— from which modulation and delay pedals would be hooked to in its effects loop
- Then, the signal goes to either the SVT, another smaller amp I’m using when I need to travel light (which is most of the time), straight into a recording device (using, most likely, the cab emulation), into a SansAmp RBI (without the cab emulation), or into my headphones (with the cab emulation.
