EDIT : To know there are TWO nearly identical grey Peavey Foundation S 4's in Petaluma makes me smile !

EMG has an outlet store on Reverb, it's totally legit and I'm not affiliated in any way.

Right on! I’m out a little past the cemetery. I just learned Pig Hog cables are here, and some guy named Les Claypool lives around here.

Did the original pups work? I see in the picture the poles are way low at least on P pup...are they adjustable?

They did work, I didn’t have a bass amp at the time so I function tested them in a guitar amp then installed the EMG’s.

I did notice the poles were low but wasn’t sure if they were adjustable or not, I’m sure someone here would know

When I bought this I was clueless about how desirable and how nice these Peavy’s played. I discovered Talkbass after I bought it, and I bought a bass amp about 2 months later. I kind of wish I had left the original pickups in there to see how they properly sounded but I couldn’t wait to tinker and set it up.

Over time you'll see folks on TB praise DiMarzio pickups.

Installing DiMarzios was a tad too costly for Hartley so he had Schaller build them. You've replaced a classic DiMarzio , recreated by German engineering. Hope you kept the originals.

BTW

Pole pieces are adjustable :thumbsup:

Oh... the Model P and J recreated. I’m a huge fan! Also a fan of EMG though.
