Haha! Thank you for the thought! I really am in no place to buy anymore basses, let alone super cool ones like that! Seems that the best bet would being within a reasonable roadtrip to snag that beaut! I'm only 1800 miles away!
I know this was covered a couple pages ago, but here is a couple old photos I found of magnetically opposite pickups that hum cancelled on my parts Tele named "Party" (because it's parts and fiesta red--get it? 
) This is with the original GFS Dream 90 neck pickup.
When I replaced the neck pickup, I got a single Super Ferrite from an ebay seller. After walking him through the polarity thing, I got his "N UP" one and carried on with a hum cancelling set of pickups that just got a little cooler with the Peavey injection. (If you didn't already know, the Super Ferrite single coils on the same era guitars are equally awesome pickups). I also got a pair from an 83 Patriot that were installed in my Baritone guitar.

I just sent another reply to this listing, I don't think I have a chance at this one. I suggested shipping in the case with zip-ties around the handle as I have had Peaveys arrive like that. I also said keep the case and ship neck-off. This is a color I have been waiting for! Dang it!
So he won't ship then. I have people in the Jacksonville area that can pick it up and hold it for me. That's why I thought I'd take a run but i haven't reached out to him yet.
Not a bad idea, and I'd feel confident that the bass would be fine in its bomb case during the voyage. Those cases are like cockroaches.

Yeah that is a beauty! And they lowered the price to something more reasonable.
I love the purple one with the matching headstock on there too...but price is a no-go:

You did good.
I normally gauge things by MGR/GC pricing .
Top line in those places are Foundations/Furys $3-400. 40's $8-850. Dynas $4-450. Couple of month back MGR sold Millennium 5'er for $600.

I've had multiple modulus... they would use different sizes.
This is one I'd take to the hardware store.
