U.S. Peavey Club

I remembered seeing that white Foundation on eBay. Both of my Foundations have the maple fretboard. I have noticed it seems if someone has one Foundation, they end up with another one before its over. LOL They are good basses! But whats with having two the same color? :D mine are like that too.

aceofbass12, I believe the OP of this thread/club has to PM you your number. Has everyone gotten their numbers yet, I wonder? Nice looking Peavey you have there as well.

And to be honest I don't know if the BXPs are made in the states or not. I don't know a lot about the newer models of Peavey basses and am trying to expand on what little I know on the older models for that matter.

The maple neck was originally on a red body, bought as a complete bass on eBay. That one had some problems with alignment of the head/neck/bridge that I couldn't solve, so I bought the white body separately and put them together after some rewiring- that one, like the one I just got, was rewired by a previous owner incorrectly. What's with these Foundations and the bad wiring jobs? I don't know much about wiring, but the original red one was wired correctly so I just used the wiring on that one as my "model" to find the incorrect solder joints on the two white ones!! Now they all work correctly.

So I still have the red body sitting around, some day....

To all fellow club members.It has come to my attention,there are about 4 to 6 members of our club that have numbers that they were asked to add to their signatures when they joined the club.These people never thought it was important enough to do so.This might be stupid to some,but I just like all the other members take a great deal of pride in the club and don't view it as a joke.In the future if you pm me or post that you want to join,fantastic,I can't wait to e mail you back with a club number to join.If you contact me to join and I give you a number,and you never use it in your signature.Please don't bother to waste my time or our members that belong.There will in the future be a 5 day period to post your club member number in with your signature.If not you will be deleated as a member,and your number will be given to someone who gives a crap and really wants to be here.Thanks fellow members I don't mean to sound like a jerk or to harsh,but it's really anoying to welcome someone into a club you run,give them a number and them make a joke of it. Funny you should mention wiring issues with Foundations you have had. The one I have has/had wiring issues as well. I was out in my carport with it hooked up to the amp (don't hook it up much right now) and was practicing (had it down low for a change) and my BF was outside talking with a friend. I have had issues with the jack and knobs since he got it for me and just put it on the list of things the axe needs. The jack was causing a lot of noise through the amp from time to time. I had tightened it up but it was still an issue. He walked over, took my bass (after I shut everything off), sat down, opened the back up (and you could tell it been gotten into a lot in the past as one screw head was striped) and proceeded to work on it.

He's good. ^_^ First time he has ever looked at the electronics on a guitar and he got everything working right now..cept the jack. I would replace the cord first to see maybe if thats the problem but when I have the Bat hooked up with the same cord etc. I never get that 'shorting out sound'. I need to replace the jack.

I know my BF made a comment on how thin the gauge is for the wire for everything. To him that makes no sense. Anyone know why the wiring is such a thin gauge?

I actually appreciate that you tale the time to send people the numbers. Talkbass moves too fast to have to dig through a thread or keep track in order to find out if someone gave you a number. There's probably someone around here that's miffed that I haven't added a number for a club I'm not even aware I was accepted into.

Hey riis,first of all the mockery is joining a club,and having the person that runs the club send you a number to join.Then in turn never using that number,that someone else could use instead.Belive me I can understand oversites.But not when the person has had the number for a pretty long period of time,and still does nothing with it.As far as insulting you or anyone else that was not my intention.If you feel insulted then think of how I feel for a moment when you try to run a club to the best of your ability and some don't adhere to the easy guidelines of said club.:scowl:
