Just curious. I have a Cirrus Bolt and it has the stacked mid knobs. Would a Millennium upgrade add anything else on mine like a different voicing to to the bass, or is a Millenium pre and mine essentially the same?

Awesome. Also the Peavey fabric-lined cases are pretty much the best thing ever. Heavy, but nigh bulletproof!
Thanks. It's my first, hopefully not my last. I picked it up at a local ps. Kinda surprised to see it in the shop it was in. They said it belonged to a friend of their's with a collection. I'd like to find out some history on it.
Just curiosity here Darryl, the guitars in the background of your pics are all lefty... Do you play both ways?

Red T40... I never got red guitars until playing with a well known female crooner --- her band rider rules were .. "all black dress - no logos..... only red guitars and drums" IN photos was extremely classy

I'm a sucker for red and black,
at one point I had a custom painted red and black Epi Thunderbird, red and black jazz bass copy, and still have my red and black Peavey Patriot "custom"
I find it much classier than the black and white theme fender popularized with their P-bass and Strat.

Nice T-40. I miss mine, even though I only had it for about a month. Too heavy for me to stand with and when I sat down it made my leg fall asleep!
I have put 4 coats of tru oil on the Patriot I picked up last weekend. I think it's looking pretty good. I bought a piece of purpleheart and am going to make a new pickguard out of it. I went by Peavey and Steve gave me the schematic for the Patriot and have it all re soldered. Just haven't tested it yet.
Will try to post pics of my progress tonight when I get back from running the kids around and a basketball game.

jweber76, to confirm Basstovsky's brilliant observation, in fact my room does have a mirror wall. It's a small room but FEELS bigger. Thirty some odd years ago I played with a lefty drummer. I had to learn to play drums lefty when I got behind his set. Never tried on strings though.Thanks for the compliments. I have a set of GHS pressurewounds on the way. It needs a little set-up,(intonating). The neck seems about perfect. It sounds pretty special through my Firebass 700 and Peavey 4x10.
Trickery! I thought of the mirror idea but then thought " why wouldn't the bass be backwards too? "... Of course it's obvious now, my brain was not working at the time.
I have put 9 coats of tru oil on the body. Not the best looking ash, but it looks better to me than paint or the brown stain that was on it. Letting it cure for a little while. I can't decide if I should take it down to a satin finish or buff it to a glossy finish. I am kind of leaning toward a glossy, which I usually don't prefer, but the grain right now looks like gold. Would love to hear some opinions of what y'all think, satin or gloss. I have made a pickguard out of purpleheart, and just started putting the tru oil on it. Messed up a little on the pickup cavity, but it will be okay. Sorry for the crappy phone pic.
