Nice chunk o'wood. By the time the PG and bridge are on the darker piece in the center will barely show. Personally, I'd go for gloss. It makes the grain pop.

Put some money down on a Foundation 5 at my local Music Go Round store today . Fire engine red with a maple board in very good shape . I should be able to pick it up by Friday and I'll post some pictures then .
I went to the local GC to check out a Squier Deluxe active Jazz 5 they had there thinking I would put some money down on it . I played one a few years ago and liked it a lot . I went there and the Squier had fairly high action and a set of flats on it and it was a struggle for me to play it , it almost hurt . I knew the Foundation was at the other store and stopped by just to check it out . As soon as I started playing it I felt at home , it just fits me way better . Hurray for Peavey !

Looking to move a few of my Peavey basses. I find myself gravitating more toward certain models and I hate that the others are just sitting there not being used. Will definitely be selling one each of my Sarzo sigs and TL-5s. Not sure which if any of the others I'll be selling.
Surely knowing this club, they will easily find a good home

Just wanted to share my experience with my 92 Fury. I disassembled it buffed it out with DA polisher, installed new pots, jack, cap, and installed a new Bill Lawrence Wilde P-46 Pickup. I had it strung up with chromes and it sounded nice. On whim I decided a couple of days ago to put a set of DR Sunbeams on it and OMG, I am in tone heaven now. It slaps great and still has the thump (just turn down the tone). the pickup change paired with the right strings...Wow what a difference! What a bass!
Here is a pic of the Patriot with the PG in place. Stupid me forgot to drill the holes for the jack and the knobs before I started putting the tru oil on it. Now just waiting for the finish to cure a little longer and then buff it glossy. If I can't get the gloss I want I guess I will get the 0000 steel wool and have a satin finish. I'm ready to get this done and play it!

Wow, unique look, and very sharp. I saw the in-progress photos and thought you should have darkened the body, but now I think it looks great.
I just restrung my trusty Foundation S with a set of those DR Neon Green strings. It'll be out with me the next 2 weeks for the St Patty's day gigs we have. Gotta get in the spirit!

Picked it up today . It's got a slight crack near the neck pocket thay's been repaired and has chips out of the finish on different parts of the body but overall is in good shape , frets are good and it plays and sounds fine .

My Mill and my Cirrus have both been stored at my mom's in FL since last July when I moved out here to CA. But, I'm going to be reunited with both of them next week! 
I can't remember seeing an instrument with pickups as close together and close to the bridge as that foundation, that's a lot of empty space on the body.

Thanks , I've been playing the Foundation off and on all day and really like the way it plays . I thought since it was bright red the wife wouldn't like it but she loves the way it looks . The neck feels very much like the neck on my Millennium . I'm liking it !
I'm new to TB but I am not new to Peavey Basses. I have been playing my Peavey Foundation for years and have loved every minute of it!

My first Peavey U.S. bass was a Dyna-Bass with the SF pickups, and the factory installed active/passive switch. The Gen. 1 Dyna incorporated a sound very much like the Foundation in the passive mode, or a revved up version in active mode-with the single 9v battery on-board.
