U.S. Peavey Club

My Foundations were fitted with what looks like VFL's.

Regarding the 4 and 5 string necks, not a great deal of difference.
I get 38mm and 43mm using the ultra scientific method of holding a ruler at the nut
as I pour coffee down my throat while leaving for work.:)

I don't think my T 40 is too heavy. I'll weigh it tonight.
Surely you have Super Ferrite equipped Foundations?

Sadly, I passed on what may have been the lightest T40 I have encountered...I swear it could not have weighed much over 8 lbs....most seem to be 10 to 13 lbs which I cannot cope with (although I have been getting my weight in order the past 6 months).

12 lb T-40.......that seems average weight.

You own no Foundations with SF pickups?

These Foundation pickups you speak of, are they quiet individually?

If you get time can you measure the output resistance too?

I think I have seen those pickups before as I reside in Peavey country!

I really like SF pickups but want to try the later versions.

Agree with above and the customer service Peavey employee who ID"ed my new Foundation as a 1994 said the same.
This one sounds the same as the one I fixed for our local high school that does have SF's.

When I get the high school's bass back over winter break to go over, I'll pull the pickups and open the electronics cavity and get pictures AND do the same with my 1994.....sort of a side by side. The meter will come out to check the pickups' ohms as-well.

I don't think i shared this photo here! Duh!

I've been kinda busy with work past couple of weeks so haven't had much time with this beauty.

This is my 1st carbon fibre neckand I must say it's very nice, sparkly black finish ain't bad neither. It can from Greenock on the west coast of Scotland
so the Scottish Peavey population remains the same:)

All it needed was a slight raising of the action to suit me .
