Yup! It looks like they took the photos and used the filtering tools in some sort of photo editing program. Not necessarily deceiving - it just makes for a better picture. I do the same thing any time I sell or try to trade a bass, since basses usually look better in person than in pictures, and getting the right lighting and background in pictures is sometimes tough.

I suppose that if there's a flaw you're still going to see it, but I know what you mean about the light issue.

I was just saying that it doesn't look like he altered the colors as much as clarified them. Maybe I'm being too much of an optimist. I just notice that the colors of the case interior are more vibrant as well - not just the bass.

And theres some Dynas up on the Bay right now...a unity dyna and a couple of regular 5ers...not a bad week for Peavey listings.... but alas heres one that is sad:

I noticed this on the pics of mine but was reserving judgement but from the looks of it..the switches on my burst have been changed :( I did not want that... *sigh*...to anyone who knows more then I do and thats a lot of you ^_^ you wanna look if anyone wants to look at the switches in the pics of mine and tell me I would be very grateful. ^_^

I don't know for sure but I think after they went to the blade pickups they started using bat switches stock but I'm not sure when exactly. You should check this forum out there's ton's of T-40 info and nice group of guys:

Ironically that beater up right now was exactly what I was hoping to find as far as color and fretboard option (ie black with rosewood), but I also didn't care what I ended up with as long as I GOT ONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (again):hyper::hyper:

I still can't believe how uber calm I'm being about the replacement. Oh but just wait till its paid off and on its way to me...then the hyper freakout begins :hyper: And when I get it???:bassist::bassist: Hang on cause everyone on the internet is going to know about it LOL!

Thanks!! I will check it out. I noticed after the fact that the switches were not the flattened style as you usually see but more roundy...though in my ignorance here, they do still look 'factory' to me ... who knows LOL

And to reply to a comment the other day I didn't for some reason; if the rash on the back bottom of the tail does bother me too much I will check on getting it professionally retouched. But I don't want that burst completely redone. Its nice and dark and just very cool looking to me ^_^ I don't want to lose it. And if anyone is interested the ding on the 17th fret and the one on the 15th..yea a bit of an ouchie but surprisingly it doesnt bother me in the slightest. I took what I could get and I'm thankful I got a chance to correct my stupidity back in the 80s!! And as far as Im concerned this one is nicer then my original one (well cept for the dings :smug:) :p..or maybe this time around I appreciate it a LOT more.

By the way, sweet gold Foundation there!!!! And that modded headstock on the other looks pretty interesting. I think its one of those mods that grow on you. The more I look at it, the more cool it looks ^_^

Hey guys I need some help. I know it's been a while since I been on here and I'm glad I'm back. Anyway back to my question. I was at Guitar Center last Saturday and I was in the market for a 1x15 cab to go with my Backline600 and Backline 4x10. I played the GK Goldline 1x15 cab and hated it. I think it was the aluminum cone, but it was horrible. Then I played the Peavey Tour 1x15 and loved it. Can anyone give me any advice on it? Also the Trace Elliot 1x15. I know it's not Peavey, but it's close. I don't care which one it can be either the compact version or the normal sized one.

Well, I figured out that I'm a 35" scale guy. I have long arms and fingers, so the reach to the lowest fret is fine for me. I actually feel cramped on 34". So, Scott and John ended up with my Fury and Foundation and I picked up a Cirrus BXP real cheap and this:

NOS Millennium with a pau ferro fretboard. Very sweet bass!

Cool bass kpj. Just a question, I notice that many of the more modern Peavy basses like that one and the Cirrus have a very long upper horn. That often looks funny to my old school eye, but I assume there is a reason for that, perhaps better balance, can anyone fill me in?? :confused:

I'm so glad you got another Millennium! Your old one is still at a local store near me. I am tempted to get it back.:)
