U.S. Peavey Club

Hard to tell from pic, but it almost looks like yours has a 1.5" neck, I thought patriots were wider like P bass, or first gen fury/t-20.

I can't look at Craigslist anymore, I now have 3 USA peaveys and a financial crisis. However one of them came from one (93 fury)I found on eBay that was priced higher than it should have been for its condition (neck wear puts the fender custom shop heavy relic to shame), after 3 relists I called the pawnshop, was hoping to get it for $50 but couldn't get him lower than $72. The next one cost about double, but being a 91 pinstripe, it had the 5 wire pickup and titan tuners and nicer 3 ply pickguard.

The first was a late 90s/turn of century foundation VFL, looks like someone used the body to tease a shark, and the headstock to break cymbals, but $40 with a case I can't complain.

I still need something with super ferrites, just because.

The neck is definitely more J than P, as was my original Patriot back in the 80's.

You absolutely need something with super ferrites. The sound from this beast is awesome.

@kodiakblair ....looks like the average price for a large is $15.00.
You folks pay too little for pizza :D What about beer ? My guess would be 88 to 120 pints or 16 litres of Grouse whisky. 14 x 40oz bottles in your money :)

edit

Think we have a winner :) whiskymarketplace.com is showing 15 litre of Famous Grouse for $467. Allowing for variations in currency I'd say it was near enough. From now on I'll equated prices to whisky,comes natural to a good Scotsman like myself :thumbsup:

I'd like to join. Here's my 87 Dyna 5. I've had it for a few months now. It's my only fiver and it's my favorite bass to record with. Even in passive mode, the ferrites growl>>>

Is there much difference between a SF Foundy and a SF Dyna in passive? I think that may be my next Peavey.

Also, has anyone seen the green Forum Plus on Reverb? Super tempting. How do those pickups sound?

Also, I'm tempted to buy that beat up B90 on Reverb as a project. I would have made an iffer already if it didn't have a twisted neck and a pot busted out of the body. Does anyone have experience with fixing a twisted neck?

@sirsam22
Sadly I never got the chance to play the double P bass and I'm afraid they do only come in burst colour :(
Suppose I could be cheeky and ask Kev at Revelation for a custom but I think his response would get me "banned" if I repeated it here :D

Can you post a link to the reverb B-90,I'm only seeing stuff available to the UK in my browser.
