I love it when things come full circle. My P-40 build was originally inspired by Mech's TL-5/T-40 hybrid....
How did you wire yours? VVT split switch?Wow, that thing looks totally bada$$!

I love the pure Peavey vibe on Mech's Forum, though. I think my bass looks like a Skunkworks Fender. His looks like the Precision-killer that Peavey should have built back in the day!
The controls are: master volume (push/pull for neck humbucker), pickup blend, phase switch, and master tone (push/pull for bridge humbucker). With the knobs in the down position, the pickups are in single coil mode, with the outer coils active, just like a T-40 with both tone knobs wide open. How did you wire yours? VVT split switch?

Good looking bass! Super Ferrites have become a top 2 pickup for me. Peavey really nailed the pickup thing with all Super Ferrites, the VFL family, T series family, etc...The latest addition. Found it today off of CL, looks to be a 1990 model. It's a keeper, plays like butta and sounds great. And it hasn't even been setup yet!
The bridge pickup was set way too high. It adjusted beautifully, I can't believe how smoothly the screws turned and the pickups moved on this old bass . These SF pickups keep getting even more amazing.
may I have a numbah please?

Thanks, I'd like to find a T-45 in similar configuration and shape with a Peavey case.Beauty! - I had an '81 in that configuration. That's quite a great instrument you have there. Enjoy.

My lovely '91 Dyna Bass Pups..took me ages to copy the logo design onto plastic book covering, cut out with a razor edged box cutter then stick on the logos lolll A labour of love and 26 years later they are still there..lolGood looking bass!
