I have a 1964 Hofner Violin bass, a 2014 Am.Std Precision, a 1989 Squier Precision, & even a 1992 Peavey Foundation. And all of them are left in their cases as the 1986 Peavey Foundation gets all the love & playing time .

Vintage Peavey knobs if you can find them, but they ain't cheap. Also I'd put a PBass ashtray over the bridge. Then you'll be Flyin' High!!!

I think all Foundation necks are two piece what Peavey call their Bi-Laminated, interesting if yours is a one piece any photos?

I just checked the serial... it is VERY late. Well after 1995. So not really vintage... just old.

My Foundation 5 (SN 09303857) is one piece maple with a separate maple fingerboard. My fretless Foundation 4 (SN 07442476) is a bi laminate neck with a pau ferro fingerboard.

My 1968 Wilson Sapphire has a bi-laminate neck with a rosewood board.
Doubt Charlie & Reg Watkins ever thought about applying for a patent back then, don't think Charlie patented the WEM Copycat either.

I've replaced one and it is 10-32 threads with a 4mm socket. Bought some on Amazon. Don't recommend the Fender. The socket is much smaller and I've replaced several.

Early Milestones have the 5/16" nut, some later ones have the wheel at the heel and some have the 4mm socket. Don't know what series/years. Love the wheel at the heel. Best design ever.

Great idea. Sold mine 2 week back, fella wanted a bass for his 12 yo daughter. Milestone III was a good choice.

I’m not sure of the year. I’ve been using a 5/32” hex key but the nut slot is rounding out so I need a replacement. I was hoping to use the fender bullet nut that extends out a bit so it’s easier to access.

As is my Foundation 5 with an 094 serial# - to my knowledge, that's not considered a 1 piece neck...

Milestone bxp on the headstock. There’s a sticker on the neck plate that says milestone 3.

Afraid that's a metric nut. I'm not up to speed on Fenders but imagine it'll be SAE, threads on the rod might be different. Swap it for a metric nut.

Just checked ebay...nothing here with 5/32” or 4mm. I’ll have to take it out and bring to the store to match up. Thank you for your help. Are all overseas peaveys metric?

Everywhere in the world is metric, Exceptions are USA, Burma and Liberia.

This one is for a Squier. Squiers are made by Cort in Indonesia so it's metric.
Quite expensive for what it is though.

First quick pic. It has a one-piece neck with the maple cap / finger board. Peavey tells me it "shipped 07/26/1995". It weighs 7lbs. 15 oz.
