Underpowering two cabs? Need your advice.

I'd just like to interject a quick suggestion: You (OP) are clearly eager to pull the trigger on something, and there are some (seemingly) good deals currently available that are making you feel like you need to act quickly so you don't miss out. My advice is to calm down and not rush into anything. It's clear from this thread that there are many complex issues at play, and you need to avoid jumping on anything before you have all the facts. There will be good-looking deals on amps and cabs tomorrow, too, and the next day, and the day after that. Plus, keep in mind that deals that look really good on first blush often turn out not to be: For example, if someone is selling an Eden 4x10 for what seems like a great bargain price.... well, there might be a reason why they're not asking for more. I urge you to be patient and not let yourself feel rushed into making a (potentially bad) decision.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled program....

Hopefully just cosmetics or desperation/not knowing its value. Some people buy used and then sell for less when they sell it, not realizing that used stuff holds or even increases in value depending on the market.

But if it is an eden with replaced speakers other than eden speakers or reconed to eden spec, then yeah it might not be so hot of a deal. I've seen people sell Edens with lower powered speakers sometimes... I say jump, but lobster has a good point , make sure it is just cosmetics or the desire for a quick sale.

You know, you're right. If the eden would cost less than, let's say 200 I wouldn't even try to buy it.
Also one guy with one PF 500 clearly stated the following:
"I don't give you any warranty. I do not refund nor buy back". I mean that means totally broken doesn't it? Anyways, a fellow Tber told me to call him and tell him my concerns. I didn't yet.

You guys told me not to buy a PF 500 since it could be a broken unit. I don't want to try my luck. I'm unlucky. I will look for a PF 800 and will try to gathet info about that eden. Else, I'm going with two 210 ampeg pfs.

Tell me, what could I do in such situations? I won't jump on it suddenly anyways, since the guy buying it for me in germany is actually MY DAD and he's pretty careful.

Chances are the eden is fine. Just make.sure it has the right speakers and the cones aren't creased and the horn still works.

I actually laughed out loud when I read this, because what I heard was "There's nothing to worry about. Here are three things to worry about."

I know that's not what you meant, but I still very nearly spit tequila all over my keyboard. :roflmao:

That could also mean it works. It is easy to say the seller knows they can fail or it is his/her second or third unit before they shelved it. But really they are not a retail store, a private seller is wise to protect themselves no matter what even if the goods are known to work flawlessly forever.

I didn't notice it, but as you highlighted it, it is funny indeed. He's saying the truth tho, and I'm very happy and lucky to have someone taking care for all of this for me. I'd be wasting money like hell without him. So thank you!

Also thanks for everyone commenting in this thread (I'm not joking, I just can't tag you all since I'm on phone) for helping me out. Most likely this will be my one and only rig, and it's very important for me not to waste money on cr*p and buy the best and most affordable products.

I will go with the Eden, or with two ampeg 210s. I had a long talk with a guy about hartkes, he owns a PF 800 and two 410 hartkes. I don't need that much power tho (I'd also like to thank him for awesome tipps) so I'd go the ways mentioned above.

This thread turned to more of an amp discussing now, since my idea of buying a PF 500 is shattered. Because of Good reasons.

SVT 3Pro
PF 800
Rumble 500

And for my last paragraph, sorry for my annoying english (had to post this xd)

Don't worry about the Eden power consumption. If you are OK with the weight and it's in good, working order, get it. You can run it with a 200w amp and it will still sound good. I also don't think you'll need more than a 410.
